A Voice Shouting

June 28, 2026

Most Christins believe the safest place they can be in the world today is in their own church. I think that makes us extremely vulnerable and I’ll share with you why I encourage you to be paying attention in these last days. It’s hard for us to comprehend the possibility that our church leaders might be leading us astray. Most Christians never even consider it a remote possibility, yet the bible is loaded with warnings of false teachers, false teachings, and false prophets. The enemy is a slippery serpent, cunning, and patient. Erosion happens over a long span of time, moving slowly so it’s not easily recognized. So with that, I share this warning:

Hebrews 3:13 You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.

The early church experienced impostors that slipped into the church to teach a different gospel than what the apostles were teaching.

2 Corinthians 11:4 You happily put up with whatever anyone tells you, even if they preach a different Jesus than the one we preach, or a different kind of Spirit than the one you received, or a different kind of gospel than the one you believed.

Jude 1:4 I say this because some ungodly people have wormed their way into your churches, saying that God’s marvelous grace allows us to live immoral lives. The condemnation of such people was recorded long ago, for they have denied our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

2 Timothy 4:3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear.

Consider this…if the early church was being infiltrated by wolves in sheep’s clothing, what do you think is going on in today’s church (2000 years later)?

Is it fair to compare, in part, today’s church leaders with the Pharisees and Sadducees? Jesus didn’t mix words when He said to them: Luke 11:52 What sorrow awaits you experts in religious law! For you remove the key to knowledge from the people. You don’t enter the Kingdom yourselves, and you prevent others from entering.” And (Mark 7:7), Jesus replied, “You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, for he wrote, These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is a farce, for they teach man-made ideas as commands from God.’

The intent of this warning is to ensure we are awake and guarded against the possibility of being led astray. Below are just some of the ways the church has been and continues to be infiltrated and eroded with non-biblical practices:

1. The 501c3 church: This is at the top of my list because it has overtaken almost all churches in America. I shared a warning on this topic a few weeks ago, so please take the time to learn why this is such a big deal (see link here)https://444prophecynews.com/501c3-the-truth-will-set-you-free-a-voice-shouting/. Once I learned the truth about the 501c3 churchesthings became much clearer to me as to why we now get “happy talk” sermons rather than strong, bold preaching that stirs the heart and changes lives.

2. Denominational churches: The Apostle Paul said “Let there be no divisions in the church”

(1 Corinthians 1:10). But that’s all we have in the church today. Denominations teach their own version of the gospel. Look what Paul says here: Galatians 1:9 “I say again what we have said before: If anyone preaches any other Good News than the one you welcomed, let that person be cursed.” Think about that for a moment because that’s a powerful statement. Is your church leader adding to, or removing anything from the Word of God? They are if they limit what they preach because they fear man over God (501c3 churches)Are they removing things from the bible by teaching half-truths? (God is love and therefore tolerates unrepentant rebellion). They are omitting that God is a just God and will bring judgment on unrepentant sin. Conversely, aren’t they adding to the word of God by partaking in pagan holidayand pushing church membership? (see #3 & 4 below). Where are these found in the bible?

3. Pagan holiday involvement: Is your church involved with pagan holidays? You might want to do some research on the origins of Christmas, Easter and Halloween. 2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets in Israel, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will cleverly teach destructive heresies and even deny the Master who bought them. In this way, they will bring sudden destruction on themselves. During Old Testament timesthe Jews neglected to remove pagan gods and practices from their midst? How did that work out for them? Didn’t God bring judgment upon them for allowing this infiltration? Why do we think judgment won’t come down on us for doing the very same thing?

4. Church membership: Is your preacher focused more on enticing you to become a member of his church over fulfilling the great commission and making born again believers? Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy SpiritHow many times has your preacher encouraged church membership? Now, compare that with how many sermons have been given about becoming born again. I’ll bet the former far outnumbers the latter.

5Church marketplace: Has your church become a business by selling T-shirts, hats, coffee mugs, books, or hosting yard sales on church grounds? I’ve been to a church that sold fireworks for New Year’s and the 4th of July celebrationsWhat did Jesus say when confronted with this practice? John 2:16 Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he told them, “Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!”

6Praying in Jesus name: Are your church leaders praying in a name other than Jesus? Here is how Jesus instructed his disciples: John 15:16 You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name”. And also in John 16: 23-24 At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy”. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard a pastor complete a prayer saying “in your name we pray” or “in your son’s name we pray”. This may seem like I’m splitting hairs, but why is it so difficult to say “In Jesus name we pray”? Have you ever noticed this? Are church leaders purposefully not praying in Jesus name? Why can’t they simply do as Jesus instructsI would much rather do what Jesus says and receive the blessing He promises rather than assuming man’s way is just as good. How about you?

7Church comfort: Is your church focused on making you comfortable by offering coffee, donuts, pastry, etc. as a tool to beef up church attendance and thus increase financial contributions? Mark 11:17 He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer for all nations,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves.”

8Church “worship”: Is your church rockin down the house with loud music, stages, performances, strobe lighting, smoke machines, etc.? It seems to me that the term worship has been redefined to mean School of Rock time. The School of Rock begins with four songs and closes out the service with another song or two. That’s about 25 minutes of a typical one hour service. Has this not reduced the time to be taught and strengthened by the word of God? There is nothing wrong with singing, in fact, it’s biblical. But, are we going overboard with smoke machines? Really? Does “worship’ require us to shake the heavens with excessive noise? Is our “worship” better if we pump up the volume? Brothers and sisters, God doesn’t need our excessive noise to be worshiped, he wants the worship of our hearts. Colossians 3:16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

9Church Attire: Is your church overlooking biblical practices? This is a broad topic so I only want to focus on a couple of specific items the church seems to neglect. First,…men wearing hats in church. Increasingly, baseball hats are being worn by men (including church staff) in church and no one is being told to remove them. Here’s what the bible says about this topic: 1 Corinthians 11:A man dishonors his head if he covers his head while praying or prophesying.  Also, 1 Corinthians 11:7  A man should not wear anything on his head when worshiping, for man is made in God’s image and reflects God’s glory.  Similarly, a woman should cover her head during worship, but her hair is considered a covering as long as it’s not cut short. 1 Corinthians 11:15 And isn’t long hair a woman’s pride and joy? For it has been given to her as a covering. How about long hair for men? I’ve been to churches where the pastors had hair down to their shoulders. What does the bible say about that? 1 Corinthians 11:14 Isn’t it obvious that it’s disgraceful for a man to have long hair?

10Women pastors: Does your church have women pastor? This verse is pretty straightforward, but how many churches today ignore it? 2 Timothy 2:12 I do not let women teach men or have authority over them. Let them listen quietly.

11. The Jezebel Church: Is your church flying pride flags and BLM banners? Run for the exits.

12. The Tech Church: Is everything going high-tech at your church? Church Apps, Pay-Pal, Vinmo, QR Codes, AI, etc.? Get “connected” via a QR code, stay “connected” with a church app, make donations via technology. The matrix is tightening around us. Did you know that 64% of church leaders use AI to prepare sermons? None of this existed 20 years ago. How about bringing phones into the sanctuaryWe treading on very dangerous ground!

Brothers and sisters, are we to remain silent and continue to tolerate and partake of the schemes of the enemy? We are called to holiness, so take heed to these warnings and follow the advice of the Apostle Peter:

2 Peter 3:17 You already know these things, dear friends. So be on guard; then you will not be carried away by the errors of these wicked people and lose your own secure footing.
