The Coming Tides

In a dream vision, the Holy Spirit took me to a large room the size of an auditorium. The huge space resembled the gymnasium of a school. The large expanse of wooden floor looked like a basketball court. I sensed I was in a school in NYC, probably Manhattan. The people in the gymnasium included persons of all ages, races, and ethnicities—not just students. What stood out to me was the fact that there was no electric power. The vast room’s only light came from windows very high up on the walls near the ceiling rafters. I realized that some emergency was happening, and the people were using this school gymnasium as a shelter of some kind.
Then I saw flood waters seeping onto the floor of the gymnasium, and soon there was no place that did not have several inches of water. These particular waters had not rushed in like a bulldozer as in a tsunami, but had risen and spread like an enormous tidal surge. The people’s legs, and the possessions they could not carry, became wet and lay submerged.
When the waters continued to rise, the people who could swim did, but many could not swim, especially the little ones. For the most part, the people did not try to escape the building for they did not yet expect the waters to continue rising. They feared that what lay outside the building was more dangerous. The large room had not much to climb onto and few items floated. Soon the waters were so high that little ones and those who could not swim started to drown. I heard the people treading water shouting with regret, “If only we had life jackets! Why didn’t anyone think of life jackets!”
For many years now, watchmen have warned of the flooding to come to the East Coast. Some flooding will be from massive tsunamis caused by meteors, undersea earthquakes, and submerged weapons. But other floods will be strange tidal surges like the one in this vision, as if a change in gravitational force—perhaps caused by the passing body known as the Destroyer—pulls upon water much more strongly than the moon does.
After receiving so many repeated warnings, how many people have actually relocated their families inland to higher ground? Too, too few. For many who lack the courage and means to move, delay will mean death. IF HOLY SPIRIT HAS BEEN GIVING YOU THAT NUDGE IN THE SPIRIT TO MOVE, DO IT NOW. Move in faith, and God will provide.
It is so simple to purchase life jackets for you and your family. Why not do it today? But when the waves are too high and strong, YOU WILL NEED THE ETERNAL LIFE JACKET THAT ONLY JESUS CHRIST CAN OFFER. His arm stretches out to you even now, just like He did with Peter who sank into the waves during the storm on the Sea of Galilee. Repent now, so should you be caught in the rough waters, you will live again in God’s kingdom.
Psalm 89:9 (NIV)
9 You rule over the surging sea;
when its waves mount up, you still them.
Psalm 107:23-32 (NIV)
23 Some went out on the sea in ships;
they were merchants on the mighty waters.
24 They saw the works of the Lord,
his wonderful deeds in the deep.
25 For he spoke and stirred up a tempest
that lifted high the waves.
26 They mounted up to the heavens and went down to the depths;
in their peril their courage melted away.
27 They reeled and staggered like drunkards;
they were at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
and he brought them out of their distress.
29 He stilled the storm to a whisper;
the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 They were glad when it grew calm,
and he guided them to their desired haven.
31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love
and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
32 Let them exalt him in the assembly of the people
and praise him in the council of the elders.
Isaiah 43:1-2 (NIV)
1 But now, this is what the Lord says—
he who created you, Jacob,
he who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.”
Matthew 8:23-27 (NIV)
Jesus Calms the Storm
23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Matthew 14:22-32
Jesus Walks on the Water
22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.
25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.
27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”
29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
Matthew 24:36-39 (NIV)
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Revelation 18:21-24 (NIV)
The Finality of Babylon’s Doom
21 Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a large millstone and threw it into the sea, and said:
“With such violence
the great city of Babylon will be thrown down,
never to be found again.
22 The music of harpists and musicians, pipers and trumpeters,
will never be heard in you again.
No worker of any trade
will ever be found in you again.
The sound of a millstone
will never be heard in you again.
23 The light of a lamp
will never shine in you again.
The voice of bridegroom and bride
will never be heard in you again.
Your merchants were the world’s important people.
By your magic spell all the nations were led astray.
24 In her was found the blood of prophets and of God’s holy people,
of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”
