The Coming Crisis in Higher Education

In a dream vision, I saw a time in the not-too-distant future in the United States when higher education would be suddenly and irreversibly impacted—many colleges, and especially law schools, would shut their doors forever.

In the vision, I spoke with a woman administrator in a new regime, telling her how awful it was that a generation of students could no longer afford college, and how many of the colleges were bankrupt. She informed me that many of the law schools, especially, would close, but that exceptional ones with historical value, like Harvard Law School, would be allowed to remain open.

The vision did not reveal to me what factors had caused this situation. But as I awoke and asked the Holy Spirit to explain what could lead to this crisis in higher education, He mentioned a range of causes—hyperinflation and debasement of the currency, national bankruptcy, additional pandemics, and a kind of martial law. Skyrocketing tuition prices, lockdowns, and unparalleled sickness would interfere with the effectiveness of both students and faculty. Possible martial law and suspension of parts of the Constitution would upend the traditional practice of law.

As always, take this information to the LORD—our true teacher, lawgiver, and advocate—in prayer.
