THE COLDNESS OF MEN’S HEARTS

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 2 Timothy 4
“There are cold days ahead but it won’t be because of the temperature, for even though it is winter and it is cold outside, men’s hearts will be cold. For you have entered into a time when the cold from men’s indifference will cause there to be a steel-like indifference to those who are less unfortunate.
For in these days the line is being drawn, and it is separating those who care for the hurting and the lost, and those who would rather be consumed by the world’s standards. There will be a stark difference seen between these two bands of people. And yet those who know Me will go onto greater feats of love and compassion towards the hurting and the lost.
But be careful not to flag your zeal as you do these things towards one another. For it is better that you do these things without others noticing what you are doing. For this is not unlike those who give their money to one another expecting others to notice what they are doing. ”
