The Christian Bookstore Had No Books

In a dream vision, the Holy Spirit took me to a charming upscale town in the suburbs where I walked leisurely, looking into the shop windows. I assumed I was somewhere in America because nothing looked foreign. I soon came across a lovely alcove with an overhanging pergola painted light blue. Curious, I ventured off the street into a walkway between stores. My attention was drawn to a store to my left that appeared closed. It was dark inside, and the signage for the place had been taken down.
I peered through the window, and on a table, I saw all sorts of candles and floral decorations, the kinds used by churches for their altars. I peered further inside, and I recognized rows of empty bookshelves. They no longer held books, but were displaying candles instead, mostly votive candles. Suddenly, in the far back corner, a door opened that brought some light into the store. On the wall behind the door, I spotted a simple red cross, and I realized the store had been a Christian bookstore.
Knowing that it was probably the owner who had opened the back door, I rapped loudly on the window to get the owner’s attention. He approached the front of the store and shook his head, indicating he would not open the door for me. The owner wore a beard and appeared to be in early middle age. His expression was so serious. The man agreed to stand on the other side of the door to talk with me, but he would not open the door because he was afraid to.
This warning dream vision shows a not-so-distant future time when there will be a “hunger for the word.” Much Christian scripture will no longer be available for sale to the public. Christian businesses will either shut down or scale back their operations to abide by the state’s new ordinances. Stock up on your scripture now while you can. Get into the Word while you can. Hold the Word written on your heart.

Amos 8:11-12 NIV

Matthew 13:20-21 NIV
20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.

12 “But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. Romans 8:31-39 NIV

2 Timothy 3:10-17 NIV

Revelation 2:8-11 NIV
8 “To the angel of the church in Smyrna write:

I know about the slander of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. 10 Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
11 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who is victorious will not be hurt at all by the second death.
