The Blood Card – Diana Pulliam

The week of June 4, 2023, the Holy Spirit began prompting me to study and meditate upon the blood of Jesus.  I am to share this word to encourage my brothers and sisters around the earth.

Before proceeding, I need to mention how periodically throughout this week, I kept hearing the Holy Spirit say, “The Blood Card.” This really puzzled me, and I inquired as to why I was being told this; but it was not until the end of the week that the Lord finally revealed the answer.  So let me continue…

It was during this study, I was made aware of the debate going on in, and outside, the body of Christ about Christians pleading the blood of Jesus over various things or situations, such as our lives, homes, families, etc.  I do it all the time, as I know many of you reading this do as well.  But there seems to be a growing number within the “church” saying it is unscriptural; that it is not noted in the New Testament, and we have no record of saints doing it, etc.

Some time back, I was on a call with several other saints, when one of the individuals said something to the effect of, “We should not be using or pleading the blood of Jesus over everything as if it is some sort of amulet or good luck charm…”  I dismissed and did not address the statement at the time, giving the person the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe they were speaking of the misuse of pleading the Blood of Jesus by those who did not understand the magnitude of it.

But the Lord’s prompting His people to address this NOW!  If you are a saint of the Most-High God, it is critical you understand the scope and magnitude of what the blood of Jesus has accomplished for you, because it is all encompassing.

Let’s first look at a few scriptures to see some of the things the blood of Jesus did, and does, for us.

1 John 1:7b, “The blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.”

Jesus said in Matt 26:28, “For this is My blood of the covenant, which is shed for many for forgiveness of sins.”

Eph 1:7-8, In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins…”.  We have been purchased – bought – back.

Hebrews 9:14 says, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.”

Romans 5:9 says, “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.”

Exodus 12:7, 12-13, as well as other scriptures, prove the blood of Jesus provides protection for us:  As the blood of the Lamb was placed over the door posts of the homes of the Israelites, they were protected and the death angel had to pass over.

So, the blood of Jesus not only redeems us from sin so that we now belong to God again; His blood cleanses, it purifies us, we are justified (forgiven and made righteous) by His blood.  And we are given PROTECTION by HIS BLOOD!!!  And there is something else the blood of Jesus does…

The Blood of Jesus Speaks!  If you look at Gen. 4:10, when talking to Cain about the murder of his brother Abel, God said, “The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.”  The shedding of blood cries out to God!

In Hebrews 12:24, it says, “To Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that SPEAKS BETTER THINGS than that of Abel.”  The Amplified says, “And to Jesus, the Mediator of a new covenant (uniting God and man), and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of mercy, a better, nobler, and more gracious message than the blood of Abel (which cried out for vengeance).”

The Blood of Jesus SPEAKS – IT CRIES OUT!

The effort to stop Saints from pleading the blood of Jesus should be no surprise.  When a Saint knows and understands their identity in Christ and pleads His blood over a situation, it sends terror throughout the camp of the enemy.  Satan has nothing in his arsenal to overcome the blood of Jesus.

Yes, the devil desperately wants to shut the mouth of the Saints concerning the blood of Jesus and all it accomplished, because it testifies of his defeat.  Contrary to what the evil one claims – he IS a defeated foe.  It IS DONE!  The devil’s well-aware of the Word of God in Revelation 12:11, which says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and did not love their lives unto death.”  But in his self-deception and arrogant pride, the devil believes he can out-maneuver God by eradicating the very church of Jesus Christ!

Remember, I mentioned earlier I kept hearing, “The Blood Card” the entire week, and did not know what to make of it?  Towards the end of that week, the Lord began showing the devil’s disdain for the blood of Jesus.  He showed his disdain to be such, that he treats his battle against the Kingdom of God as if it were – a card game!  It was then I understood why I’d been hearing “the blood card” all week.

Not only is he treating this like a card game, but the Lord revealed the devil thinks he has the deck stacked against the Saints.  He believes he has the cards stacked and loaded with so many surprises and traps, the Saints will have no way of escape.  It was at this juncture the Holy Spirit spoke very loudly:

“Play the Blood Card!”

I was totally bowed over when I heard this!  The Lord’s so amazing and faithful, not only to reveal the game plan/strategy of the enemy, but provide His people with specific instructions on what to do.  It does NOT matter what card the devil plays against the Church (or you personally), because as soon as She pulls out the “Blood Card,” it’s game-over for the devil and his cohorts.  Nothing can trump, overtake, defeat, or come against the blood of Jesus!

As the Word of God says, the saints OVERCOME THE ENEMY BY THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB AND BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY!   We need to really let this sink in.  The blood of Jesus SPEAKS!!!  It cries out to God!   When you or I plead the blood of Jesus, we are testifying to everything it has done for us.   The ears of those familiar with legal terms used in a court of law should be perking up about now.

Pleading is part of the beginning stage of a lawsuit in which parties formally submit their claims in the form of a Petition to the court.  A pleading is a written submission that sets out claims, allegations/arguments, or evidence for the review of the court.  To plead in court is to present your case; to argue the case; to present testimony, etc.  Everything I’m sharing with you now is related to a question the Lord asked me:

In November, 2020, the Lord asked, “Are You Ready to Submit the Petition?”

As noted from that post:

“Evidence is gathered to gain a conviction in a court of law.  The investigating party must gather sufficient legally admissible evidence to convince the judge a suspect is guilty.  Once such evidence is gathered, it’s submitted to the court via a Petition.”

But God knew we were not ready, and it would take time to “Gather the Evidence,” as well as prepare the Petition for submission to the Court.   We have had almost three years now to watch, observe, and to gather sufficient legally admissible evidence in order to get the conviction against the devil.  The veil has been removed revealing more atrocities by the day for those with eyes to see.  The Lord told me just recently that it is time to prepare the Petition, and have it ready to submit to the Court.

God’s calling upon His Saints to be at the ready to petition Him – the courts of Heaven – to render His righteous judgments! 

Our Father, in His mercy, has allowed time for more to be awakened – in – and outside the church.  The Lord has also been using this time to prepare His army for battle, to be used in the greatest harvest to hit the planet, which takes place in the very midst of His judgments being released!

The Word of God makes plain in Daniel 7:25-27, it is when the court sits, the verdict announced, that the devil’s kingdom and dominion is taken away and given to the saints of the Most-High.  Notice, it is after a period of 3 ½ years, while the tribulation saints are being worn out by the devil.  It appears once the petition for hearing is submitted to the court, it takes that 3 ½ year period to allow the parties time to make their arguments.

Revelation 12:10-11 says, “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, ‘Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.  And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Although more may be shared in a subsequent post, right now the Lord wants to encourage His people to remember what it took to overcome the devil.  It took the perfect, sinless, blood of Jesus!  And no matter how much the enemy disdains that blood, he’s powerless when it is used against him.  This is your primary weapon – the key to standing in the victory of Jesus during the tumultuous days ahead.  Never hesitate to plead the precious blood of Jesus over you and your loved ones; over any situation, surprise, or trap the devil may throw at you.  Open your mouth, allow the BLOOD to speak forth; allow the blood to testify of all it has accomplished on your behalf!
