The Black Pig And The Two Lions (Hidden Sin And The Beasts Of Rev. 13)! – Humbled for Service

Psalm 30: 4

[4] Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,

And give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name.

The Lord blessed me with a series of dreams yesterday 25th May 2020, between 3:30 AM to 6:00 AM. And this is one of them. After thinking about it for a while, I have discovered that it has a very profound message in its meaning, and very timely for this critical hour we are now living in. I wish to share this short dream with the believers for their edification.

The dream is thus:

I was coming out of a forested or woodland area, and in front of me was a narrow footpath where only one person could fit at a time. The footpath was leading to an old rugged house whose perimeter was secured using old metal sheets that were about 10 to 15 feet high.  

It had gotten completely dark outside. The sun had gone down. But despite the darkness, I still retained visibility. I could make out my surroundings and my destination very well. Somehow I knew that if I kept walking on this footpath and if I could get to the old rugged place, I would be safe. So I kept walking towards my destination.

The destination was now not far away. It was now only about 100 feet away. And as I kept walking, I suddenly noted that there was a black pig standing by the side of the footpath and it was facing the footpath as though it had taken note of my presence.

But what is interesting was that there were two lions obscured by it. The pig was completely pitch black and therefore had been camouflaged by the dark night. However I was able to notice its outline. And as I walked past it, I noted that it was obscuring two lions, so that had I been distracted by the pig, then the attention of the two lions would have been attracted, and they would have come after me.

At this point I decide to run and get to the old rugged house. The fence was very secure. I realized that although the metal sheets looked old and rugged, they were very thick and very strong. They were well painted so that there was no rust in them. They were also well arranged so that there were no gaps in them. And they had been fastened to strong metal poles.

Meaning of the dream:

As I thought about this dream, the significance of the “black pig” suddenly occurred to me. And I have discovered that this dream has a profound meaning for this particular time we are living in.

As we walk the narrow path, with the destination on sight, there are certain things that could distract and derail our journey. These things, I believe, are represented by the black pig in the dream.

These things include some of the following:-

1. Secret sins. Sins that are being committed in secret. Theft, corruption, adultery, pornography, etc. and other dealings that are ungodly, being done in secret places.  These will take us out of the safety of God and deliver us into the Tribulations.
2. Unconfessed sins. Sins that are not fully dealt with and fully surrendered to the Lord. Sins that we may have refused to let go of. All these are also black pigs because no sin will be allowed in God’s kingdom and His place of refuge.
3. Sins of the heart. Pride, arrogance, bitterness, un-forgiveness, jealousy, anger, and other conditions of the heart that are not easily identifiable are black pigs.
4. Compromises and tolerances to “small sins”.  Luke-warmness, laziness and lack of diligence in prayer, reading the Word of God, fasting etc. Small lies here and there.
5. Worldly friends. Holding on to people who are not on the same journey, and do not have the common destination. Because eventually they will derail and bring compromises, and bring the occasion of sin.
6. Hidden sexual lusts. Hidden desires for the things of this world. The lust of the eye and the lust of the flesh. Worldly music, perverted and abominable movies, desire for fashion and dressing that does not glorify God but the body etc. etc.

This is what I believe to be the meaning of the “black pig”. Let us be ware of these.

As for the two lions, I believe these represent the two beasts of Revelation 13. The Antichrist and the false prophet. The two individuals that will ravage the earth once the Church is taken out, and the door is shut.

Mark 5: 11-17

[11] Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. [12] So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” [13] And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.

[14] So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. [15] Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. [16] And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. [17] Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.

Hebrews 12: 1-2, 14 – 17

[1] Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, [2] looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

[14] Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: [15] looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; [16] lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. [17] For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears.

Deceptions of False Teachers

2 Peter 2: 18 – 22

[18] For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. [19] While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. [20] For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. [21] For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. [22] But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.”

Revelation 2: 14 -16

[14] But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. [15] Thus you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. [16] Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
