The Armies of the World

On 8/18/26 at 9:57am, I was given in the spirit the phrase, “theirs not to reason why, theirs but to do and die”. I was a bit taken aback because I knew I had heard that phrase before. After conducting an online search, I confirmed it was a line from “The Charge of the Light Brigade”. A famous poem written in 1854 by Alfred, Lord Tennyson.

I then inquired of the Lord what He was sharing with me.  He began to speak to me the following:

Pray for the soldiers in the armies of the world, My Beloved. There are soldiers that find themselves between “a rock and a hard place”, where they are required to follow unrighteous orders given under the authority of those that lack self-control, wisdom, and sound reasoning. There is a crisis of conscience present among the world’s soldiers, for I AM pouring out My Spirit on all flesh. I have given man an innate ability to know what is right, and what is wrong in My eyes. Albeit, many ignore it. My Beloved, pray for cooler heads to prevail. Pray for the world’s armies, and its soldiers to choose the righteous path, and to do what is right in My eyes. War is necessary to fulfill My Word, and war is escalating. The spirits of confusion and dismay are weighing on these soldiers like a wet blanket. I AM mustering discontent, so that they will consider the righteous path. For soon, more armies will amass. What some are being ordered to do is not what is righteous, and they know it. Pray for these soldiers. Pray that they will fear Me, rather than man. Pray that their actions align with Me. Pray their hearts be softened towards Me. Pray for their salvation. Pray for their hearts to be softened, so that you may have favor in the presence of your enemies. For these soldiers have sworn not to make reply, and not to reason why. They have sworn to do and die. My Beloved, pray for them now to do what is right in My eyes. For soon, they mobilize.

Insights:

The last sentence given, “for soon, they mobilize“, really struck me. The Lord gave me a word in Italian on 6/5/2025, which was “mobilitano“. It translates in English to, “they mobilize“. That word has had various prophetic applications among the visions, and messages He has given me. All of them that pertain to “mobilitano” reflect a time of civil unrest, conflict, transition, and war.

The Lord mentions, “favor in the presence of your enemies” in the above message. This is in reference to a previous word  received from Him on 3/5/2026 called, “Favor in Your Enemy’s Presence”. Within it, He is telling His People to now pray for favor in the midst of our enemies. He has the ability to change the hearts and minds of our enemies, to the benefit of His People.

After receiving this word from the Lord, I then went back to research Tennyson’s poem, “The Charge of the Light Brigade”.

The poem documents a historical event. “The Charge of the Light Brigade” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson was written in 1854 after a tragic British cavalry charge during the Crimean War on October 25, 1854.

Many British soldiers perished after charging forward despite a command error given to them. A confusing order from command sent British light cavalry straight at a Russian heavy artillery battery, leading to the demise of many British soldiers.

The poem highlights the blind obedience of soldiers who charge forward despite a command error.

“The Poetry Society” states that it “balances a tribute to raw bravery with a critique of flawed military leadership”. It depicts the strict adherence to duty, where a soldier must follow commands without asking questions.

After reading it in its entirety, I sensed the sheer love of Christ toward mankind, including those in the armies of the world.  Although nation shall rise against nation (Matt 24:7), although armies may view their opposition as the enemy; the Lord does not view this like we do. (Isa 55:8) He discerns the thoughts and intents of the hearts of man (Heb 4:12). Although the Body of Christ may never have considered it; nor thought of it, the Lord wants His People to pray for the armies of the world. Pray for them to turn to righteousness. Pray to bring them to salvation, and pray so that we, who may be viewed as their enemies, will have favor in their presence. He is not a respecter of persons (Acts 10:34). He views them as vessels made in His image. Although we may view nations and peoples as our enemies, He desires us to look at them through a spiritual lens. The lens of love and mercy, like He does. As it is written in the Scriptures, it is not his desire that any would perish, but that all would come to repentance. (2 Pet 3:9) All means all, not some. He is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh. Even those armies of the world, and their many soldiers, that are viewed as our earthly enemies.

May we pray for their favor in our midst. May we pray for the righteousness of God to prevail.

May we pray for their salvation, all for the glory of God!
