Storm Coming – The washing away
Dream on August 21, 2010
I had this dream at the end of this past summer. This dream is about the Lord warning me of a great devastation and judgments that are coming to America, for we are a stiff necked and unrepentant society. Our only safety is to be hidden in Christ, he is our true ark, our rock and foundation. All other is sinking sand!
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me, for in you my soul takes refuge. I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings until the disaster has passed. Psalm 57:1

I was in my house and outside there was a very intense thunder storm, pouring out buckets of water. So intense that the water was knocking down homes and everything in its path. The water was raging, it turned into a wild river. I looked outside the window of my home (on the 2nd floor) and as I looked outside I saw something most unusual.
There were canoes sailing down these streams in the storm trying to get away and survive. People were inside the canoes as if to escape. But to my horror as I looked I saw the canoes just burst into fire and all you could see was a canoe floating by engulfed in flames. There were many flames going down the stream. Even the waters could not save them.
As this occurred I was nervous as I saw the stream of water flowing close to my house just outside my window. I thought to myself, wow, it’s so close, right in my own neighborhood. (side note, I am not in the flatlands at all, on the contrary I am in high elevation so to see a flooded river flowing down was just not normal) I stayed in my home just looking out.
Then my neighbor who lives about 5 blocks up came knocking on my door. She was concerned and she told me I am leaving, I am leaving. She was scared that the storm would wash away her home. But I thought to myself, hmm, that’s probably not too smart to leave your home and walk straight into the path of the raging waters, but she did, she and her family (they are not saved and do not know Christ).
She was telling me this as if to see if I was going to leave as well. But I stayed put. I went back into my home, just watching the raging waters and storm pass by as it engulfed everyone in its path.

How Do I Get Under His Wings?
We might be asking how do we get underneath God’s wings? If you have already accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, you are already there. Jesus told us that if we ask he will answer us (Jeremiah 29:11-12, 33:3). If you have not accepted Christ as your Lord and made a decision to follow God then you need to do so.
How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. — Psalm 36:7
