Stay The Course

Dear Saints,

As I was seeking the Lord lately on what He would have me to say to His people, He laid it upon my heart to expound on a couple of subjects instead of giving a prophetic word. I also feel that it’s important that we heed what He has laid upon my heart.

One thing He wants me to expound upon is regarding a prophetic word He gave me back in June of 2013. In that word, He warned us to not follow the counterfeit revival when we see it. You can read it again here: “Do not follow the counterfeit revival when you see it.

Of course, we are all aware that the last day’s great harvest is coming, and with that, there will be a great revival to spread across many countries of the world. However, the enemy will also have his counterfeit revival going on at the same time. And the counterfeit revival will come with a great showing of signs and wonders, but there will not be any conviction from the Holy Spirit or taking up one’s own cross. The Lord told me that His true revival will begin in the hearts of the believers. What this means is that we each can enjoy this coming revival in our own homes. We do not need to go to any church gathering to partake in the revival. That is not to say that the true revival will not be going on in any church, because I’m sure that it will. I’m just saying to be aware that one does not need to go somewhere in order to partake in this move of God, and if someone is telling you that you need to go somewhere to experience God, then beware. “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. For false christs (meaning false anointed ones) and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. so, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.” Matthew 24:23-26 (ESV)

I’m saying this to inform you all that God desires for each of us to partake in this coming move of His Spirit, however, His desire is to do an inner work in each of us and for us to experience a closer relationship with Him. But this can be hindered if we get distracted by the signs and wonders going on in the church gatherings and begin to seek God in the signs and wonders. That is not to say that He won’t be conducting miracles through us, but it is not what we are to seek after. We are to seek after Him. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 (ESV)

I’m really excited about the things that God is about to do in and through His people. And with that, I’m desperately seeking my own deeper relationship with Him. However, I’ve already been witnessing some within the churches make claims that revival has started in such-and-such ministries with signs and wonders. And one of those ministries is one that I have long believed to be a false ministry which causes me to believe that the counterfeit revival has already begun.

Now, on the other hand, we must not come against any ministry or try to prevent any new or non believers from attending what we would deem as the counterfeit revival. God is sovereign and can use it for His own glory. Years ago the Lord taught me a lesson when I was seeking Him in regards to a false ministry that was, and still is, very huge and popular. He revealed to me that he was able to use the ministry to draw in those who are His and build their faith. Then, He would later tear down all the false beliefs that they received from the false teachings. “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;” Eccl. 3:1-3 (ESV)

So you see, God can use the counterfeit revival to draw in the lost, and then later separate the wheat from the tares. How many of us started our own journey with God in the churches of man, and then were led out after we spiritually grew and learned the truth? So don’t cause any immature or non believer to stumble by trying to prevent them from seeking God in the counterfeit revival. But as mature believers, we do not allow ourselves to get caught up in it and distract us from truly seeking God….

Another subject that God has put on my heart to share is regarding our true hope vs false hope of the hypocrite. I’m reminded of the story that I shared with you all regarding the last church that I was a part of. Even though it was a so-called Spirit-filled church with gifts of the Spirit in operation, God warned me that being part of the church was causing me to slowly drift away from foundational truths without knowing it and I was in danger of not getting back to those truths.

The main foundational truth that I was drifting away from was our true hope as believers. We are saved by hope through the power of God. But our hope is not the same hope as the hypocrite. “For what is the hope of the hypocrite, even though he has gained much, when God takes away his soul?” And he answered and said to them, “Well has Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.” Job 27:8, Mark 7:6.

To understand the difference between true hope vs the false hope of the hypocrite, we must first understand what the true gospel is vs the false gospel taught by the churches of man: The false gospel of grace, in essence, teaches that Jesus came to set us free from the guilt of sin instead of sin itself. The false teachers teach that we can never fully be delivered from sin and the flesh until we die and go to heaven. But this is a lie. The true gospel says that Jesus came to set us free from sin by destroying the sinful nature within us through our obedient repentance and changing by grace through the inward cross, which is the power of God that produces purity and union with Christ and God, in the Kingdom of Heaven, walking by His light in His perfect will, while still on earth, and then forevermore. But the hypocrites carry about in their form of godliness while denying God’s power through the inward cross to save us from sin and perfect us while still on earth. “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it. Turn away from such people.” 2 Timothy 3:5.

Now, this is not to say that if we die before being perfected that we won’t make it into heaven. The scriptures teach us that those who were seeking righteousness and perfection who died before attaining it are asleep in Christ and will rise first to be joined with those of us who will partake in the resurrection in Christ. (1 Cor. 4:13-17). But the false church teaches that those who are asleep in Christ are all those who simply believed in Jesus when they died. In complete contrast to Jesus’ own words that only those who do the will of the Father will enter the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt. 7:21), the hypocrites believe that they can live their sinful lives on earth and still get into heaven when they die simply because they believe that Jesus is the son of God. This is their false hope. “Because you have said, ‘We have made a covenant with death, and we are in agreement with hell (we are saved); when the overflowing scourge passes through (the great tribulation), it will not come to us, for we have made lies our refuge (we will be raptured before the great tribulation), and have hidden ourselves under falsehood.’ Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion a foundation, a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation; and whoever believes (unto obedience) on him will not be ashamed. I will lay judgment to the line, and righteousness to the plummet; and the hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the hiding place. And your covenant with death (false salvation) will be annulled, and your agreement with hell will not stand; when the overflowing scourge passes through, then you will be trodden down by it (tribulation will be very hard on the hypocrites and their false beliefs).

However, the true hope of the true gospel is to be purified and enter into union with God in the kingdom of Heaven while still on earth, and then forevermore. The reason that I’m speaking about this is that we are about to witness a great move of God even in our own lives. Many prayers will be answered and long-awaited promises fulfilled. Many of us will experience a closeness with God that we never thought possible this side of heaven. But in all this, we must remember our true hope of glory, which is to be perfected to the point of having Christ revealed in us and our entrance into the Kingdom of God while still on earth. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things will be added to you.” “Do you not know that all those who run in a race, run; but only one receives the prize? So run, that you may obtain the prize.” Matt. 6:33,1 Cor. 9:24.

If you begin to experience abundant blessings and a renewed closeness with God where you feel His presence on a daily basis, don’t fall into complacency thinking that you have “arrived” so-to-speak. And don’t get caught up in the counterfeit revival. Stay the course and keep seeking for Christ to be revealed in you, your true hope of glory. These are exciting days we have entered and many will be perfected into the manifested sons/daughters of God. But we must be aware of the many distractions along the way designed to get us off course. Keep your eyes on the prize and you will do well….

Please prayerfully consider this exhortation. It is my desire that Christ is revealed in as many as possible in these last days and the TRUE Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven shown as a witness to all the earth. “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world for a witness to all nations; and then the end will come.” Matt. 24:14
