Recently I was watching a video put out by Bo Polny (“God’s analyst of time”) when I heard him mention the name “Guy Fawkes”. I stopped in my tracks because I recalled that Holy Spirit had given me that name a few years back. So I did a search and found words on “Guy Fawkes” and also a quote connected with him “Remember, remember, the fifth of November”. Following is a Wikipedia post…
“Guy Fawkes Night…is an annual commemoration observed on 5 November, primarily in Great Britain. Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605 O.S., when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. The Catholic plotters had intended to assassinate Protestant King James I and his parliament.”
So, it appears the name “Guy Fawkes” is a reference to an assassination attempt and the quote “Remember, remember the fifth of November” is referencing the commemoration of the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605.
“Remember, Remember, the 5th of November” was turned into a nursery rhyme below.
“Remember, remember, the 5th of November,

I see no reason

Should ever be forgot.

Although I received this word back in 2024 I believe it’s meant for now. The elections in America are up for grabs and it appears the country is gearing up for something big. There is talk of growing civil unrest and the military are making their presence known all over this country. I pray we remain close to the Lord, in His Word and be obedient to Holy Spirit’s promptings. May God have mercy on us all.
