Remember My Blood – Rachel Adamus

Remember My Blood – Rachel Adamus

1 Corinthians 11:23-26: “For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said,This is my body, which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying,This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.”
Luke 22:44: “And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
Hebrews 12:4: “In your struggle against sin you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.”
2 Corinthians 5:7: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
James 2:26: “For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.”
1 Peter 4:17: “For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?”
My children, have I not given you my admonitions again and again? Have not my servants the prophets come to you, again and again, with the Word of my Holy Book to correct you, chastise you, and remind you the right way in which you are to walk? Yet you continue to ignore the right way. For some of you, you gorge yourselves with the feast of my truth Sunday after Sunday and then fail to heed what you have heard! You hypocrites! Do you think that by Sunday religion you will find the Kingdom of Heaven? I tell you, the gate is small and the way is narrow. Oh my children, some of you have given up on the feast of truth and now take to yourselves teachers for your itching ears. Will this save you? Is not the truth of my Son enough for you? The blood He poured out for you? The agony He suffered for you? Yet you live in self-indulgence, and have exchanged truth for a lie. Oh my children, only those who DO my Word will prove the salvation I have given them. Have you resisted to the point of shedding your blood? Resisted what, Lord? Have you resisted the self-indulgence, the watered-down gospel, the tickling sermons, the easy-chair Christianity, the “make-friends-with-everyone” lie? Have you believed me when I have told you that with much agony you shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven? (Acts 14:22). Lord, your Word says that it is sin we resist. Yes, my daughter, and this self-indulgent attitude is the primary sin of this culture. It is the root of many evils. Do you feel despised and rejected of men? So did my Son. Do you feel beaten down? So did my Son. Do you feel despised? I say that again, because this society of smiles and charades and friends and drunkenness cannot fathom the idea of feeling despised. My Son was despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief (Isaiah 53:3). My daughter, if you are despised and rejected of men, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you (1 Peter 4:14). Rejoice and be glad, my children, when you have suffered for the Name of Christ Jesus. Do not shrink back (Hebrews 10:39). Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Remember your calling, children, and to whom you ultimately owe allegiance. Be not deterred by suffering, but like your Lord Jesus, set your faces like flint (Isaiah 50:7) to win the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:14).

Ephesians 6:10-13: “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”
