PUT YOUR HOUSE IN ORDER: PART 1
FEBURARY 26, 2021 4:02 PM
MY HIDING PLACE
Dear brothers and sisters,
This is a very serious word the Lord wants me to share.
Please take heed of these warnings and prayerfully submit this word to our Heavenly Father for confirmation. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any specific prayer requests or require assistance. May the love and peace of God rest upon you today.
On Jan.1 and Jan.7, 2021 the Lord gave me 2 prophetic dreams about homes that involved significant renovations.
In the first dream, I was in the middle of having my home painted when I was suddenly presented with an urgent plumbing issue. I was told that if I didn’t get to it right away that it was going to cause major problems with water infiltrating the basement. Although my house was messy with painting sheets, buckets, brushes, and furniture out of place I had to drop everything on a moment’s notice to attend to the plumbing instead. So, I immediately went on searching and hired new contractors. In the next scene, my husband and I walked into the kitchen and while I was looking around, the room transformed into a huge furniture showroom. Everywhere I looked, I saw people coming in to admire the work that was done in our basement. As I started to mingle with them, I saw gifted furniture just starting to appear, and people were taking time to mingle with each other and eat together. Nobody seemed to be wanting to leave, there was such a beautiful calm atmosphere all around. Then the scene changed one last time. Now, I was outside the home looking at the finishing of the plumbing work. The contractor proudly showed us this little door he had placed on our front lawn with pebbles carefully laid all around it. Around the pebbles there was beautiful green grass. That was my first dream.
In the second dream, my husband and I were doing a final walk- through on a ‘flip’ property we were purchasing. We had 2 realtors with us whose names mean ‘Born again’ and ‘Magnificence’. Coincidentally, this was a property we’ve owned in the past. It’s interesting the Lord brought me to this house in the dream because back in the day when we owned it, this home had given us SO many plumbing issues. While we went through the home, I had knowledge that it now belonged to a drug addict who had destroyed it. The place was dirty and messy; the new floors we had put in before we sold it had been completely ripped out; bathroom fixtures were missing. But I noticed bottles of detergents and sponges in a cabinet. I kept telling the realtor we were going to pull out of the deal, but the agent insisted that there was no way. Then, she proceeded to hand me an estimate to get the plumbing fixed and at the bottom of the sheet I read $10,000-$10,000 = 0. The last item I noticed in the dream, was this HUGE Coca Cola bottle ‘chandelier’. It extended from the top of the ceiling and nearly reached the floor. It was full and it appeared to be dangling. I looked up at the way it was connected to the base and wondered how long it was going to take before it would detach, fall on the ground, and fizz everywhere.
As I spent time with the Lord asking Him to reveal to me the meaning of these dreams, the Holy Spirit said that it had to do with putting our spiritual houses in order. When I asked for confirmation, He led me to passages in 2 Kings 20 and Isaiah 38. This is the story about the prophet Isaiah visiting King Hezekiah to deliver a word the Lord had placed on his heart concerning his illness. Verse 1says: “Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover.” At first, I was taken back by this verse and questioned the Holy Spirit what He meant. Then He gave me understanding that our spiritual homes are in deep need of building/re-building, cleansing, and refining. We must immediately attend to all its deficiencies or we will die a spiritual death. Just like King Hezekiah recognized the seriousness of Isaiah’s message and immediately repented, so we must do the same NOW. Time is of the essence!
Eph. 2:21-22 In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.
2 Kings 20:2-3 Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, “Remember, O Lord, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes.” And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
As I was working on this word, the Holy Spirit led me to this next passage. He wanted me to stress the importance of obeying what the Lord is asking each person to rectify in their own spiritual homes. For if one acts out of disobedience, the Lord will forsake them when they call out to Him.
2 Chronicles 24:20 Then the Spirit of God came upon Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood before the people and said, “This is what God says: ‘Why do you disobey the Lord’s commands? You will not prosper. Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.’ “
Firstly, I need to address that if anyone reading this has not come to the Lord Jesus yet, has not taken the time to repent and accept Him as Lord – this is your chance to start building your spiritual house. Come to the Lord as you are. Repent of your sins. Confess the Lord Jesus with your mouth and be baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Drop your burdens at the feet of the cross and let the Holy Spirit indwell you and change you from the inside out. The Lord wants us to release our burdens onto Him and take upon us His yoke. We must understand that we can’t save ourselves. That is why our Heavenly Father has provided a way for us to be saved through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross when He took our iniquities upon Him. For those of us who have already accepted Jesus in our hearts, this call is for us to daily check the condition of our hearts and to maintain our spiritual homes. If we go for a spiritual walk-through and discover that our home is looking like a ‘flip’ -needing major renovation and restructuring- then we need to repent for not keeping up and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in removing all the layers of the world that we may have accumulated over time. If this seems like a big endeavour, do not despair. For the love of God is immense enough to take our messes and turn them into masterpieces -that’s God’s expertise.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Psalm 69:1 Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me. I am worn out calling for help; my throat is parched. My eyes fail, looking for my God.
Rom.12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God – this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Perhaps some taking inventory of their spiritual homes don’t necessarily need a full make-over, but still have plenty of issues to address. It may be that God has lost His place of honour in your heart and is asking you to re-arrange your priorities. Our relationship with our Heavenly Father MUST be of primary importance. Perhaps you are aware of certain addictions that must be eradicated. Maybe you are harboring things that need dismantling like sin, anger, resentment, hatred, apathy, unforgiveness, self-righteousness, arrogance, lust, witchcraft, New Age doctrines, jealousy, etc. These do not belong in a child of God. Have materialism or idols taken over your life? Tear them down! We need to make for ourselves treasures in heaven rather than treasures on earth. For one day, we will leave this earth and won’t be able to take our earthly goods with us, but only those brothers and sisters we have led to the Lord who will also inherit eternal life. Let’s strive to adopt the same characteristics of Christ and to clothe ourselves with HIS righteousness. If the Bible has been sitting idle on your night table, dust it off and begin reading it afresh. Ask the Lord to help you forsake the ways of the world and to give you a new hunger for His Word. The Holy Spirit gave me some important verses to share regarding this.
Isaiah 66: 2b-4 “This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word. But whoever sacrifices a bull is like one who kills a man, and whoever offers a lamb, like one who breaks a dog’s neck; whoever makes a grain offering is like one who presents pig’s blood, and whoever burns memorial incense, like one who worships an idol. They have chosen their own ways, and their souls delight in their abominations; so I also will choose harsh treatment for them and will bring upon them what they dread. For when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, no one listened. They did evil in my sight and chose what displeases me.”
Matthew 6:19-21 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Eccl. 2:20-22 So my heart began to despair over all my toilsome labor under the sun. For a man may do his work with wisdom, knowledge and skill, and then he must leave all he owns to someone who has not worked for it. This too is meaningless and a great misfortune. What does a man get for all the toil and anxious striving with which he labors under the sun?
Isaiah 64:6 For all of our righteousness is nothing but filthy rags.
James 3:11-12 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
Matthew 7:24-27 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
2 Cor. 7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
For those who may be at the refining stage, it is important to ask the Lord to search our hearts and forgive us daily; that we approach His throne of grace with reverence and humility so that our prayers are not hindered. Let’s continue to follow the Lord’s commands and to love Him wholeheartedly. The Holy Spirit gave me understanding that the plumbing issues from my dreams were significant for the body of Christ. We must be aware that as the floodwaters continue to infiltrate our land that we stay on guard for our homes and our families. And that our eyes, minds and hearts remain focused on Jesus.
Prov.4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.
Ephesians 1:17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better, I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.
The Holy Spirit gave me the specific interpretation of the Coca Cola bottle which represented inflated false positive covid tests. The media has been using these grossly exaggerated numbers to increase fear such that more people fall for a vaccine. The Lord warned against listening to the media and said that it is only showing us what they want us to see and are keeping many truths hidden. We are encouraged to ask the Spirit of Truth to disclose all He wants us to know as we spend time with the Lord in our secret place.
Be aware of this new, untested vaccine that is being promoted as a good preventative measure against covid. Do your due diligence and trust the Holy Spirit on whether you should consider it. Seeing world leaders pushing for it without having any significant medical evidence to back up its efficacy is highly questionable, to say the least. Meanwhile, if they could have it their way, they would not hesitate to inject every person in the world. What is their end goal? I don’t want to turn this into a political debate, but I do want to raise awareness. I ask that we remain aware and vigilant, gentle like doves and shrewd like snakes. May God’s protection keep us safe from the enemy’s evil agenda. I’ll say it again, be sensitive to the Lord’s prompting you to draw closer to Him and to obey His voice.
If I may make a recommendation: I’d say that it may be wise at this time to build a support system with trusted individuals. This pandemic has brought the best and the worst in people and many of us have lost those in our lives we thought were our friends. But the Lord has made a way for us to meet other like-minded people. If we are paying attention, we have taken notice that our church era is taking a sharp turn and is looking more and more like the church in the book of Acts. As our government continues to implement illegal measures and constricts our freedoms, churches are being birthed in homes. The work of the Lord will not stop because the church buildings have shut down their doors. Those who are living by the Spirit are being led by the Spirit. There is no better place to learn the things of God then at the feet of Jesus. Strive to lead a life that is pleasing and holy to the Heavenly Father.
Acts 4:19 But Peter and John replied, “Judge for yourselves whether it is right in God’s sight to obey you rather than God.”
John 3:5-6 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit”.
When we honour the Lord in our lives, the Lord pours out His blessings on His people. That does not mean that difficulties and persecutions don’t come our way, but instead He extends grace to withstand. As we learn to lean more on Jesus and to seek His righteousness we will see how He will take care of all our other needs. Grab a hold of Jesus today and don’t let Him go!
Psalm 24:3-6 Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to an idol or swear by what is false. He will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God His Saviour. Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, O God of Jacob.
Luke 21:18 But not a hair of your head will perish.
Joshua 24:15 But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.
