Forword & Afterword by Brook A.

Forword:

Recently we released an article first published in October 2016 by Joanie S. entitled, Prophetic Dream – Rising Above the Storm; A Glimpse of New Jerusalem. It is important that you read this powerful dream, as the dream below is directly related. You can visit our website,www.aminutetomidnite.com, in case you missed it. This latest dream is the second time Joanie dreamed of The New Jerusalem. The events within the second dream are nearidentical. However, in this dream there are important differences that will be discussed in the afterword.

Introduction:

Yesterday I worked all day at my friend’s house until early evening helping her get her home ready for soon arriving family members. When I got home, I was completely exhausted and fell asleep way too early and woke up way to early. I went back to bed at 10 pm, tossed, turned, and could not get to sleep.

It felt like I laid there for hours, and as I did, my mind began to think of one thing after another; things I had to do the next day, deadlines I needed to meet, and a myriad of earthly demands. I got to the point that these thoughts were keeping me up too long.

Realizing that, I said to myself, “Enough! I have laid here for what seems like hours thinking about so many earthly things. If I am not going to be able to sleep, then I am not going to spend this waking time on things of the earth, but the things of heaven.

I instantly redirected my thoughts up, away from this world, and onto heaven. Immediately, a peace entered within and I fell asleep. Then I had this dream.

Dream:

I saw myself standing outside with someone else whom I did not recognize. I cannot say whether they were male or female. It did not seem to matter as we appeared in the dream to be friends.

We were looking up into the sky and saw an enormous heavenly city in the clouds coming down and it hovered in the air about the earthclose enough for us to see it clearly. We could not believe our eyes and we were struck with enormous awe! We were speechless for a few minutes because it was in a sense so beyond anything ever imaginable.

I will do my best to explain what it looked like. It was in the air, as high as the clouds, making it far away, but close enough to see it very well. It was nestled in enormous bright white clouds and there were buildings in it, so many buildings that they were compacted together. It was a vast, dense city, and I knew we were only able to see a portion of it.

Everything was white and bright, very pure looking and awesome. It was all light and majestic. We began to speak to each other, trying to express ourselves about what we were seeing. It was difficult because there are no words on this earth to begin to describe its form and spectacular glory. No words here on earth could ever do it justice but only harm.

However, in our utter amazement and wonder, we both began to talk about it to one another, struggling to find earthly words to describe it. We could only use words available as something eternal, and from everlasting. That is all we could say about it. As we scanned over the city, we mentioned things to one another, such as how many buildings there are, and how beautiful and huge the city was.

It was so big and full, beyond the capability to give details. Only that it was so vast and incomprehensibly colossal.

As we spoke, all of a sudden, scripture after scripture was entering into my mind. As we spoke to one another about the city, beholding it in the sky, I heard,

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away!” (Revelation 21:1 KJV).

We spoke about the way the buildings were arranged, and all the many different shapes and sizes there were. As we did this, I heard another verse spoken into my mind,

“Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof, Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces!” (Psalm 48:12-13, KJV).

We looked upon the brightness of the city and wondered at it, still speaking words trying to describe it. Then other scriptures from the Bible would enter again into my mind matching what we were seeing, giving heavenly words to heavenly things.

“Having the glory of God and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal!” (Revelation 21:11, KJV).

One scripture after another flooded into my mind and I knew it was not me coming up with those scriptures. I was well aware God Himself was speaking them into my mind. It was a powerfully, beautiful dynamic, full of an endless life. I felt myself filling up with the glory of God and His life. I have to say, there is so much intense life. It was so full, robust, and wonderful. It was awesome!

While this continued, a man walked up to us. I immediately recognized this man from my other dreams.

Note: As I have explained in other articles, this man accompanies me in nearly every dream given to me by God. I am withheld from seeing his face, and many times, he is only quiet and just shows me things. At other times, he speaks to me. I have come to realize this man is definitely a representative from heaven. Likely, a messenger angel, as angels can take the form of a human.

As this man approached us, we stopped looking up and redirected our attention to him. He was not an earthly man, it was clear. He is the same man that is usually with me in my dreams given to me by God. He was dressed in a plain, white, tunic-like robe. I can say that he was in no doubt he is a representative from heaven. I will leave it at that.

Initially when he walked up to us, we were talking. We stopped in the middle of what we were discussing about the city in the clouds. He then spoke these words in a strong, jubilant tone,

“And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven shall so come in like manner as ye have seen Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1:10-11, KJV).

He said it with a tone filled with a kind of friendship and joy. His presence was very happy and comfortable. Though I knew he was not of this present world, it was greater in terms of another life – a heavenly life, full and abounding in power. I really saw and knew that he was full of joy because he was like a messenger given the supreme honor of saying all these things to us, and it showed. I could see it.

We looked back to the city in the clouds above and started talking to each other. We also began talking to him in our very limited vocabulary about how beautiful, awesome, and amazing the city was. As we spoke of the city, the representative said,

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.” (Hebrews 9:24, KJV).

Though we could not see his face, the sound of his voice in his tone was one of excitement. I somehow knew that it was a privilege of his to share with us. It seemed like with every one of our expressions, he would partake in the conversation only answering with scripture after scripture in great tones of excitement. He spoke no other words other than the written Word of God whom he serves.

As he spoke to us, we listened and became full of that same excitement, because the power he was moving in overwhelmed us. We became full of a powerful, heart pounding anticipation. He went on talking with us about the great hand of God, the making of the city, and how God’s hand has made all things. He spoke more in detail about the hand of God in everything.

While he went on speaking, we were listening in awe. I then awoke.

End

Conclusion:

When I woke, I lay there with that same power surging through me for a long time. The sound of his voice was so penetrating; it was not like the sound of any voice I have ever heard. It was not earthly. It was heavenly. I cannot recall every word he spoke concerning God’s hands, but I remembered only what the Lord wanted me to remember.

The final scriptures that came into my mind as I mused upon what I had just seen and heard were these,

Behold. He cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced Him; and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so Amen.” (Revelation 22:7, (KJV).

Afterword:

I find it important to review a little about this dream in comparison to the first dream of The New Jerusalem back in October 2016. In the last dream, Joanie was taken through an old abandoned building. The heavenly representative then led her outside where she described dark, terrifying, low clouds. She called it a “destructive type of rain or storm clouds”. In this second dream, there was no building and no storm. Could this be implying the storm has yet arrived, therefore it was not necessary to revisit this part of the dream? By now, those of us “awake” to the signs of the times are aware how fast events are occurring daily in this world.

Again, if you have not read the first dream, I urge you to do so. I find it very telling and intriguing that in this dream, Joanie was NOT taken up through the clouds in order to see The New Jerusalem, the holy city of God. This time, she remained on the earth! The city came down to her. All I could think as we discussed this in detail was how short the time truly is, as we know in the end this great city will descend from above.

And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God” (Revelation 21:10, KJV).

We know that when all is said and done, there will be a restored earth. God will finally re-establish His reign on earth and once again walk among man and Jesus will rule over all! It also cannot go unsaid that in the Bible, The New Jerusalem is called “the bride, the Lamb’s wife” (Revelation 21:9).

Another great difference within this dream is that the representative spoke. He quoted two very strong passages of scripture. While Joanie and her companion stood in awe of the vast city, the representative spoke the passage found in Acts 1 that was spoken to those who witnessed Jesus taken back up into heaven by way of a cloud. Here, two men dressed in white apparel spoke these same words to the witnesses as was quoted to Joanie in the dream. Is it so far off that these two witnesses were also representatives of heaven? This goes to show that even in dreams the Lord always bears witness to His Word.

In conclusion, I find the underlying message of the dream is that the return of Christ is closer than ever before. How many more dreams, visions, or Words from the Lord does one need to heed the warnings set before us? If we are not ready, or our lamps are not full, then it can only be blamed on ourselves.

Day after day, we see constant debate on such issues as rapture timing, who is the antichrist, or if Trump is who he claims to be. Whether it be flat earth, round earth, or even rectangle earth… WHO CARES? Yes, I said it. Why I say this is because these are NOT the things that will seal our fates in the end. We will not stand before our great and sovereign God being asked or judged on such moot topics. It will all boil down to having Jesus Christ in our hearts and what we did to represent Him and His kingdom while on earth. How well did you run your race? Did you affect souls for His kingdom?

Let us start placing our priorities where they belong and get before Him every single day and grow in the Word and in that beautiful relationship with Him. Fill your lamps while there is still time, because when we least expect it, He will be coming down from the clouds the same way He was taken up. Dare we miss out if He comes in our lifetime?
