So as the pandemic continues to unfold the Lord has continued to speak to me regarding Jeremiah 25:8-11. We have seen the industries of amusement, sports, and entertainment silenced. We have seen weddings, receptions, and galas cancelled. Finally, we have seen work, business, and enterprise come to a screeching halt. These are only the first 3 of 5 parts of the prophecy. The final 2 are yet to come and they will bring the most fear, chaos, and disruption to our normalcy. Hearing the heart of God, listening to marketplace conversation and general observation, I conclude, that we are not discerning the times nor the intent and motive of God’s heart. We are not ready. We as a nation, have not truly considered our ways and why God would allow us to be made captive. People are buying big-screen TVs, to pass the time, holding barbeque parties, smoking weed, drinking, carousing. As if to take an inconvenient vacation. These next 2 events will shake us to the core of our being and we will pray as never before. We have never been this way before.
Jeremiah 25:8-11
Therefore thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Because you have not heard My words, behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ says the Lord, ‘and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, against its inhabitants, and against these nations all around, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, a hissing, and perpetual desolations. Moreover, I will take1 from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, 2the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride,3 the sound of the millstones and 4the light of the lamp. And this 5whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
Two of the 5 parts are yet to be fulfilled in relation to the current worldwide judgements. They are (a) the light of the lamp going out, (b) the Babylonian king causing the nations to serve out the last portion of the seventy years captivity.
The light of the lamp to go out – Not only power outages, EMP, internet would cut off communications thereby cutting off or deprivation of spiritual light, revelation, and understanding. This includes churches closing and potentially the 3 days of darkness. We have seen that 8 out of 10 plagues have fulfilled themselves in recent years. Also, the fact that we are nearing Passover, the death of the firstborn can be seen in the Coronavirus, in that the generation “first-born” are predominantly dying. The first-born could also include the best, prominent peoples, i.e. celebrities, in a worldly sense. Cutting off power puts us at a grave disadvantage. Police, Fire, Military communications delayed and confusion. Stopping the distribution necessities and access to help is part of the practice of the Babylonian siege. The siege of Jerusalem was cited from 18-30 months. Walmart is making PA announcements for people to buy things for a “power outage”. Wow, how do they know what’s next?
Babylonian king invading, destroying, and making nations captive – So in part 1 the Lord identified Babylon as Russia and America as the quest. Acts of war- displacement – death – injury -blood -dismemberment – imprisonment
Are you prepared physically, mentally, spiritually?
· Candles, communication system to family and work, backup power, phone numbers written down, refrigerated food supply, power for medical equipment, batteries, flashlights, emergency meeting plan, scriptures for comfort, and encouragement
· Medical supplies, protection, weaponry, mindset to leave belongings, hope and trust in God, safe meeting place, plan of action for family members, mindset as believer to endure to the end, scripture in heart, courage to see difficult things, made up mind to die for Christ and not take the Mark of the beast or vaccinations, mind that you may be imprisoned, see loved ones hurt or killed, or taken away, are your children prepared to give their lives to Christ.
Conclusion: We will be tested in the upcoming months and we need to discern the Lord is allowing this due to our national sin. We must pray and repent to mitigate. This will not go away. It is Jesus’s words coming to pass, the time of Jacob’s trouble. Finally, we must stay awake and not be lulled into denial seeking normalcy. Normalcy bias is an enemy to us now. Stop praying for normalcy and start asking God what we need to do and know. We must seek the Lord for His guidance..
