October Flooding

In a dream vision I heard in the Spirit the word, “October”—simply one word and no more, and no year indicated. Then the Holy Spirit showed me the view of the center of a small city from several hundred feet in the air. Looking down, I saw little but muddy water and the rectangular grid pattern of city blocks hidden by the water, but revealed by utility poles and power lines remaining above the water.

Farmers and consumers, prepare for a time when flooding will affect the October harvest—when field corn kernels need to be dry, hard, and full of starches and soybean pods mature—particularly in the Southern states in the area known as the Bible Belt. The destruction of crops just before their harvest will cause grain shortages and result in rising prices.

Psalm 124: 1-8

If the Lord had not been on our side,
Let Israel now say;
If the Lord had not been on our side,
When enemies rose up against us;
Then would they have swallowed us up alive
In their fierce anger toward us;
Then would the waters have overwhelmed us
And the torrent gone over us;
Then would the raging waters
Have gone right over us.
Blessed be the Lord!
He has no given us over to be prey for their teeth.
We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowler;
The snare is broken, and we have escaped.
Our help is in the Name of the Lord,
The maker of heaven and earth.

Revelation 6:6 (NIV)
Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “Two pounds of wheat for a day’s wages, and six pounds of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”
