13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, He was asking His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but still others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matt. 16
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Rev. 12:11
“Who do you say that I AM? Who do you say that I AM, my people? Am I the One who came riding upon a donkey many years ago? Am I the One who came to lift up the broken-hearted and set the captives free? I tell you that that was who I was then; and yet I still do set the captives free. But I AM coming back with a sword, my people. Will you recognize Me when I come?
For I come back with the army of heaven. I come riding back upon a white steed. Terror will fill the hearts of many, and yet my own will look upon the One that they have worshiped.
But I ask you still: Who do you say that I AM? For I AM the One that was pierced. My blood flowed down, and it was shed abroad for many. Many thought that I would deliver them from the rule of the Romans, but my kingdom is not of this world. Do you still think that my kingdom is of this world? For what you don’t realize is that I suffered tribulation in this world and you will also; but you will overcome by my blood.
The blood serves as a propitiation for your sins, but the blood also serves as a wall of protection for you and your families. For no evil thing will come near your tent if you are covered in my blood. That is why the Israelities smeared the blood on the doorposts of their homes. The evil passed them by, and went into the Egyptian’s homes. But now you have a much better covenant than them.
And so I want to tell you something: When all the devastation and troubles come upon you, plead the blood that was given for you. When the mountains quake, and when the seas rise, and your very land splits open, then plead the blood upon you and your family. Then a wall of protection will be around you.
