“Metamorphosis”

I had a very unusual dream early this morning (Saturday, 9-03-22) which I believe to have spiritual significance. Immediately upon awakening, I scribbled down the details, but this is just one of those dreams that takes some time to ponder. I wasn’t sure if it was just for me or to be shared with the Remnant. I have taken all day to pray and seek the Lord’s will about it. Now that it is late evening and I’m preparing for bed, out of nowhere the word “Metamorphosis” is suddenly dropped into my spirit. So, bedtime is now delayed as I once again take to my keyboard and share what the Lord is placing on my heart. Here is the dream:
I found myself partially confined in what seemed to be some sort of cocoon state. The upper portion of my body appeared to be normal. However, beginning just below my torso, my upper thighs and legs seemed to remain encased in what I can only describe as a very tight-fitting extra layer of ‘something!’ It wasn’t skin. I don’t know what it was. I’m not sure how to even describe it but I can tell you what it felt like. Imagine your legs being squeezed into a pair of skin-tight leggings so constraining that you had no blood circulation. Perhaps a better picture would be wearing a pair of those compression stockings made of thick tight elastic with footies. I couldn’t breathe! Every muscle was bound up and my toes were totally numb. I was frantically trying to escape from my uncomfortable predicament. As I worked to free myself, the extra layer seemed to be adhered like a stuck-on ‘body-bandaid’ to the underlying skin. I began picking at the upper edges where it was tightly fused and over time I was able to loosen the tops. Then, I slowly and with great care began to peel back the upper layer, rolling it inch-by-inch down both legs. After much intense labor I was able to peel away the extra layer down to my ankles. As I pulled and tugged to free my feet, suddenly all these things like ‘ankle weights’ began to fall free. That explained why I couldn’t feel my feet anymore! When I was finally totally free, I stretched my legs and experienced such a feeling of euphoria . . . like a butterfly released from a cocoon! End of Dream.
My Thoughts:
Of course, I can only speculate, but since this title was dropped into my spirit, perhaps this dream is a word of encouragement to the Remnant. I believe our transformation has been ongoing for quite some time now . . . a process that has taken longer for some than for others as each of our individual journeys are different. I believe this dream is an indication that the sons of God are about to manifest (Rom. 8:18-19). We are soon to break forth like those calves that have been in the stall (Malachi 4:2)! We are getting ready to ARISE & SHINE (Isaiah 60:1).
Now is the time to examine ourselves and do whatever is necessary to ‘separate’ from what keeps us bound to this world, regardless of how painful that tearing away may be. Christ’s kingdom is not of this world (John 18:36a). I have heard it said that we are not humans having a spiritual experience, but rather we are spiritual beings having a human experience. “As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly, Now I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold I shew you a mystery, We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, . . (1 Cor. 15:48-51).
As we approach this change . . . this METAMORPHOSIS, we will experience the somewhat painful process of shedding the earthy in exchange for the heavenly! As we are admonished in Hebrews 12:1-2 “. . . let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith . . .” Yes, we are spiritual beings with a heavenly destiny . . . a destiny that was determined before the foundation of the earth. “For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified (Rom. 8:29-30).”
My friend, do not try to hang on to this world. LET IT GO! Break free! We can see what Paul said about those who continue to ‘mind earthly things’ in Phil. 3:19. Their end is destruction! But the following verses, Phil 3:20-21, is our hope. “For our conversation [life] is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto His glorious body, according to the working whereby He is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
I tell, this dream has got me excited! How great is our God! “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His GREAT LOVE wherewith He loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us [made us alive] together with Christ, by grace ye are saved: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:4-7). Hallelujah!
Though we all look through a glass darkly now only knowing in part (1 Cor. 13:12), we can be confident in our hope. “And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If ye know that He is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of Him. Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the SONS OF GOD! therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not. Beloved, NOW are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be LIKE HIM; for we shall see Him as He is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He is pure (1 John 2:28-29 & 3:1-3).
Do I have a clue what our bodies will be like after our transformation . . . after we shed this earthly cocoon? I don’t know for sure, but I know what I felt like in the dream when I was finally free (John 8:36). It was the most amazing feeling . . . like I was a new person! Liberated at last . . . my spirit felt as if I could soar. It made me think of Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.” I don’t know about the rest of you, but my spirit is ready TO FLY!
For now, we wait upon the Lord! Transformation comes at His appointed time. Be ready! Be Watching! Be Excited! We will experience a supernatural metamorphosis . . . out with the old . . . in with the New! Our Bridegroom comes!
