Message: The Mark
The message that I received on March 8, 2018 mentions the ‘mark of the beast.’ I believe that it is important that people understand that the ‘mark’ is connected with two things: commerce and worship. We are always hearing about how the ‘mark’ will keep us from ‘buying or selling,’ but we seem to forget the other part of this system….the worshiping of the beast/antichrist!
In interpreting the Bible, we have to look for patterns, foreshadows and types. Basically, the best interpretations are when the Bible interprets itself, with cross verses and chapters. This often happens when we ‘overlay‘ the Old Testament with the New. An great example would be with how the Blood of the Lamb saved the Israelite’s firstborns, in the Book of Exodus, and how the BLOOD of JESUS saves us from our sins…a perfect overlay!
So, where is the foreshadow of the ‘mark of the beast?’ One of the places that comes to mind is the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They refused to ‘worship’ the giant, golden, statue of Nebuchadnezzar (a ‘type’ of the ‘image of the beast’) and were thrown into the fiery furnace, where they were protected by our LORD.
The Book of Revelation talks many times about those who ‘receive the mark’ and ‘worship the beast.’ They go ‘hand in hand’ (no pun intended!!) The mark of the beast will be the ‘outward sign’ of the person’s heart that ‘worships’ the anti-christ.
We can see this ‘worship’ and ‘heart’ connection in these 6 verses:
” A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, hey, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name” Revelation 14:9-11
“The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed.” Revelation 13:15
” The first angel went and poured out his bowl on the land, and ugly, festering sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. ” Revelation 16:2
” But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur.” Revelation 19:20
“I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” Revelation 20:4
HERE IS THE SHORT MESSAGE THAT I RECEIVED (please use discernment and seek your own confirmation):
“Tell MY people that we are further along than they think. Many prophecies have been fulfilled that you see not. The clock ticks to midnight and the door closes.
The beast is already on the loose and his plan implemented. The mark of the beast is here — don’t worship it. It is not as you think. It is in the spirit and not just the physical.
My ‘mark‘ is on my true believers –they have been sealed. They know who they are. They will rise up and become mighty warriors. The beginning of the end and the end of the beginning.
Wars are coming, pestilence, fire and destruction. I will have a small remnant left.
