MASKS?

Masks are a funny thing, they can protect medical personnel or nail technicians, they can even become mandatory wearing apparel for millions across the nation and around the world. ISIS, Hamas, bank robbers, protestors and others with something to hide wear masks. As I have been in prayer for our nation God has reminded me “look behind the mask there is more that you need to see.”
Laughter often masks the pain, bravado often the fear. We mask our emotions in an attempt to protect our image, our persona, our deep seeded shortcomings, flaws, failings, hatred, weakness and fear. What would others think of me if they knew the real me? What would my friends do if they only knew? Would I be shunned by my church, my clique, my friends? Would my position be in jeopardy if they only knew….and so we wear the mask, hoping, praying no one looks too closely or takes the time to notice or do they even care?
Night after night America slides a little farther into the pit of darkness. Our rejection of God, our pride, our arrogance has taken us beyond what we could ever have imagined, driving us into the clutches of satan’ demonic forces posing as patriots, pastors and politicians. America has lost it’ moral compass, rational clear thinking, sanity none nonexistant. Millions promote good as evil, evil as good as lawlessness and violence destroy the nation. Organizers of evil promote discord, mayhem and godlessness calling it justice. Masks? Organizers of wickedness fuel the flames of terrorism and inhumanity, spewing hatred calling it civil rights. Masks? Many see color, looking on the outside, God looks into the heart. Millions are standing for one while destroying the lives of others. ALL lives are precious to Me says the LORD. ALL lives matter to Me. Businesses have been destroyed, death and violence in the street, murder and revenge in the heart. Anarchy and hatred dessimate the nation, America crumbles under the weight of its rebellion and sin. Wake up America, wake up; you are being led by the powers of darkness that desire destruction and death not peace and freedom. Masks? Once cherished freedoms are slipping from our grasp, officials continue to stand against the good in order that evil might prevail. Masks? Hatred and rage continue unabated within our nation. Masks? But you, brothers,[and sisters] are not in the darkness so that this day should overtake you like a thief. For you are all sons [and daughters] of the light and sons [and daughters] of the day; we do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not sleep as the others do, but let us remain awake and sober.…
LORD, help us see the face behind the mask knowing we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places; help us to have the mind of Christ.
