This message is about listening God’s voice.
1. Through mediating Word of God
2. Through pastor or Church members.
3. Through His voice.
I would explain that how God directly specks to you through His voice.
There are 3 voices in our mind which we listen everyday.
1. Voice of God
2. Voice of ourselves
3. Voice of satan
God talks to every believer but believer is not able to understand which is voice of God out of 3 voices mentioned above.
John 10:27 New King James Version (NKJV)
27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Every believer ( sheep) should know the Voice of God ( Shepherd).
Every son knows the voice of his earthly father.
Likewise every believer should know the voice of His Heavenly Father.
The Voice of Father is like thunder.( 2 Samuel 22:14) and mighty voice ( Psalm 68:33)
The Voice of Jesus Christ is the sound of many waters ( Rev 1:15, Ezekiel 43:2)
The Voice of Holy Spirit is still small voice ( 1 Kings 19:12).
Most of the times, Jesus Christ talks to His sheep ( believer) through Holy Spirit by still small voice.
You might have heard this still small voice many times but you must have ignored it many times.
How to listen to God’s Voice?
Best time to listen GOD’s voice is after doing prayer. First , you will speak in prayer, then God will speak after prayer.
There 3 steps to listen GOD’s voice.
1 Be still
Psalm
46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
After prayer, be quiet . Still means that there should be no movement in body and there shall be no noise.
There should be absolute calmness
2 Be silent in mind and heart
Psalm 62:5 “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.”
After reaching still position, our mind and heart voices distracts us.
You need to silent the voice of yourself. It is possible. You have power to do.
This will remove the voice of yourself.
3. Be gather into oneness
1 Cor
6:17 But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.
After being still and silencing the voice of ourselves, then should try gather our body ,soul and spirit into one.
When this happens, then our spirit is joined with Spirit of Jesus Christ.
Then He speaks through His Spirit by still small voice.
How to differentiate between Voice of God, Voice of ourselves and Voice of satan?
When you follow 3 steps, you will silence your voice.
Then we are left with Voice of God and voice of satan.
The voice of God is according to Word of God.
The voice of God is Truth
The voice of God is Loving voice.
The voice of satan is not according to Word of God.
The voice of satan speak lies.
The voice of satan is threating.
