Let The Sons Arise!
May 8, 2021 7:11 AM
Several mornings ago I heard the Lord whisper to my heart, “Daughter, instead of living a lifestyle of repentance why don’t you live a lifestyle of believing you are totally forgiven?”
We say we are forgiven and cleansed so why do we still act like we are sinners? Why are we constantly repenting, dredging up the past, as if we are not forgiven? Why do we still feel so condemned that we feel we must constantly repent?
Sonship requires you to believe the Scriptures…
Colossians 2:11 Through our union with him we have experienced circumcision of heart. All of the guilt and power of sin has been cut away and is now extinct because of what Christ, the Anointed One, has accomplished for us.
Colossians 1:14 14 For in the Son all our sins are canceled and we have the release of redemption through his very blood.
Hebrews 1:3b He accomplished for us the complete cleansing of sins,[f] and then took his seat on the highest throne at the right hand[g] of the majestic One.
Yes, it is true we once lived in that realm of darkness, but since we have received the Lord as Savior we have been delivered from that domain. Right? So why are we constantly acting as if we still hold stake in that realm by continually dwelling and rehashing previous sins and addictions as if they still exist?
Colossians 1:13 13 He has rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and has translated us into the kingdom realm of his beloved Son.
Colossians 2:13This “realm of death” describes our former state, for we were held in sin’s grasp. But now, we’ve been resurrected out of that “realm of death” never to return, for we are forever alive and forgiven of all our sins!
Acts 26:18 And you will open their eyes to their true condition, so that they may turn from darkness to the Light and from the power of Satan to the power of God. By placing their faith in me they will receive the total forgiveness of sins and be made holy, taking hold of the inheritance that I give to my children!’
1 Corinthians 6:11 It’s true that some of you once lived in those lifestyles, but now you have been purified from sin, made holy, and given a perfect standing before God—all because of the power of the name of the Lord Jesus, the Messiah, and through our union with the Spirit of our God.
Colossians 1:21-22 Even though you were once distant from him, living in the shadows of your evil thoughts and actions, he reconnected you back to himself. He released his supernatural peace to you through the sacrifice of his own body as the sin-payment on your behalf so that you would dwell in his presence. And now there is nothing between you and Father God, for he sees you as holy, flawless, and restored,
Are we a new creation or not?
2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.
Ephesians 1:7 Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace.
1 John 2:12 12 I remind you, dear children: your sins have been permanently removed because of the power of his name.
1 John 3:5 5 And you know without a doubt that Jesus was revealed to eradicate sins, and there is no sin in him. Anyone who continues to live in union with him will not sin.
Romans 6:6 6 Could it be any clearer that our former identity is now and forever deprived of its power? For we were co-crucified with him to dismantle the stronghold of sin within us, so that we would not continue to live one moment longer submitted to sin’s power.
Sons, this is who you are…
The Sons should be guilt -free, shame-free and free of any condemnation. We can only fulfil our calling in freedom.
We are the Sons! Let us start walking as if the word is true!
