Is the USA Found in the Pages of the Bible?
[Hint – Jacob gives us the answer in Genesis 48:19 w/ the Birth-Right Blessings]
Question – What nation on the planet is known for being a ‘melting-pot nation’ or a ‘nation full of peoples’ AND has an older brother nation called ‘Great’?
Genesis 48:19 But Jacob refused and said, “I know, my son, I know; he also will become a people and he also will be great. However, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude [full] of nations [peoples].”
Genesis 48:19 [alternate] But Jacob refused and said, “I know Joseph, I know; Manasseh also will become a people and Manasseh also will be Great [Great Britain]. However, Ephraim [USA] shall be greater than Manasseh [Great Britain], and Ephraim’s descendants shall become a nation full of peoples.”
Where is the judgment of Ephraim / USA prophesied? In the unfulfilled chapters of the Hosea:
Hosea 5: ⁹ Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of punishment; I make known what is sure. ¹⁰ The princes of Judah [Modern Day Israel] have become like those who move the boundary line [Annexation of West Bank & Golan Heights]; Upon them I will pour out my wrath like water. ¹¹ Ephraim is oppressed, crushed in judgment, [USA destroyed!] because he was determined to go after filth.
Hosea 7: 8 Ephraim mixes himself with the peoples [melting-pot nation]; Ephraim is a cake not turned [light and dark skin peoples]. ⁹ Strangers devour his strength, and he knows it not; gray hairs are sprinkled upon him, and he knows it not. ¹¹ Ephraim is like a dove, silly and without sense, calling to Egypt [the world], going to the Assyrian [anti-christ]. ¹² As they go, I [God] will spread over them my net; I will bring them down like birds of the heavens; I will discipline them according to the report made to their congregation. ¹³ Woe to them, for they have strayed from me! Destruction to them, for they have rebelled against me! I would redeem them, they speak lies against me.
The Genesis 48 test – Where is the USA in the Bible?
The Patriarch of the Hebrews, Jacob, made a series of proclamations concerning Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh. Study these statements and decide which nations align with his statements:
Genesis 48:16-19 – Jacob blessing to Ephraim and Manasseh, Joseph’s sons:
¹⁶“The angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys; and in them let my name [Jacob – Israel] be carried on, and the name of my father’s Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
[Is Modern Jewish Nation of Israel today a “multitude in the midst of the earth”? – NO!]
¹⁷ When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. ¹⁸ And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.” ¹⁹ But Jacob refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He [Manasseh] also shall become a people, and he also shall be GREAT. Nevertheless, his younger brother [Ephraim] shall be greater than he [Manasseh], and his [Ephraim’s] offspring shall become a multitude [full] of nations [peoples].”
[Who received the Birthright Blessing from Jacob? – The Sons of Joseph! Not JUDAH (Jews)]
1st Chronicles 5: ¹The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s couch, his birthright was given to the sons [Ephraim & Manasseh] of Joseph the son of Israel, so that he could not be enrolled as the oldest son; ² though Judah became strong among his brothers and a chief came from him, yet the birthright belonged to Joseph…
Answer these questions to determine what nation of today aligns with the words of Jacob:
Question 1 – What pair ‘brotherly’ nations, one being older than the other, who speak the same language are a multitude in the middle of the earth?
Question 2 – What pair of nations, has the older nation being called “Great”?
Question 3 – What pair of nations has the younger nation being “Greater” than the older nation?
Question 4 – What nation on the earth can be described as a nation ‘full of’ nations…or ‘peoples’? (Hint: ‘multitude’ = ‘full’ in the original Hebrew)
Answer – The only pair of ‘brotherly’ nations that answers ALL OF THESE questions is the United States of America and Great Britain. Are there any others?
1. The USA and Great Britain form a multitude of people in the middle of the earth
2. Great Britain is called “GREAT”
3. The United States of America is Greater than Great Britain
4. The United States of America is a nation ‘full’ of nations or ‘peoples’.
This study does not remove the significance of the modern nation of Israel. The modern nation of Israel of today is the remnant of the Southern Kingdom of Judah (i.e. The Jews) which constitutes Judah & Benjamin. Paul was from the tribe of Benjamin and Jesus is of the Tribe of Judah. Read Hosea 5 Now!
The Northern Kingdom of Israel was toppled by the Assyrians in 722 B.C. and became known as “The Lost Tribes of Israel”. Some of them were assimilated with the Assyrians which became Samaria and others of the Northern Tribes dispersed up into Europe and the UK. They became the “lost sheep of the House of Israel”…who eventually accepted Jesus as their Savior – can became the Christians of today.
