I WILL BRING YOU DOWN FROM YOUR LOFTY PULPITS

8/27/18

11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord:12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. Amos 8

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 2 Timothy 4

“For I have told you many times before that the land must be purged. For the evil works of many has risen to such a height that I must cleanse it. Woe to those who say that all is well. Woe to those preachers who only preach the good news. For your words tickle the ears of my people. You are held accountable to everything that you preach to them. I tell you that I will bring you down from your lofty pulpits.

“I have said that those who preach and teach the word will be judged more severely. For you are held accountable for every word that you preach and teach. For where would my people go to hear the word of God if it is not from you? But in many of your sanctuaries all I see are men-pleasers.

But I AM the true shepherd of my people. I alone can lead them to green pastures. I alone can feed them with the bread from above. In these days there will be a scarcity for hearing the true word of God. In these days men and women will search high and low for the word that comes down from heaven. For surely, there is a famine for hearing the true word of God. Your conferences are filled with hype and supposed miraculous signs. Those who go there flock to hear their favorite speaker, and in the end, their pockets are filled with the money that they make from off of you.

These are those who have prostituted my word. ”

7 “Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:8 As I live, declares the Lord God, surely because my sheep have become a prey, and my sheep have become food for all the wild beasts, since there was no shepherd, and because my shepherds have not searched for my sheep, but the shepherds have fed themselves, and have not fed my sheep, 9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 10 Thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require my sheep at their hand and put a stop to their feeding the sheep. No longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them. Ezekiel 34 Stephen Hanson
