I WARN MY PEOPLE

The Lord speaks in many ways. He also speaks through his prophets, and not only through words. The Lord sometimes uses prophets themselves as a sign.

Hurricane IAN hit SW Florida causing much devastation. Recovery efforts are not going as quickly as many wished. A friend of mine lives in SW Florida, a prophet, and this hurricane hit this prophet directly. The message I received from this prophet today states

they are alive because of God’s protection, and they are being blessed with different people bringing a meal. Insurance is not answering phone calls. Flooding is there. Roof and sidings are damaged or gone, but despite the hard times, they are rejoicing in the Lord.

End of message.

As soon as I heard this I received a powerful revelation. God is so amazing. What this prophet experienced is a sign for all of God’s children. God does not change.

A sign from the prophet Ezekiel (Ezekiel 12)

The Lord instructed the prophet Ezekiel to pack his belonging for exile, and during the daytime, leave his place. He also told him to dig through the wall and go out with his belongings, while everyone was watching, with a final comment “I have made you a sign to the house of Israel”. Then the Lord said:

Ezekiel 12: 8-11 In the morning the word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, did not the Israelites, that rebellious people, ask you, ‘What are you doing?’ “Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: This prophecy concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the Israelites who are there.’ Say to them, ‘I am a sign to you. “As I have done, so it will be done to them. They will go into exile as captives.

The departure from the prophet became a sign for the future exile of the Israelites.

A sign from the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 20)

The Lord instructed Isaiah to take off his sandals and sackcloth from his body, so the prophet walked around stripped and barefoot. Then the Lord said:

Isaiah 20:3-4 Then the Lord said, “Just as my servant Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years, as a sign and portent against Egypt and Cush, so the king of Assyria will lead away stripped and barefoot the Egyptian captives and Cushite exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared—to Egypt’s shame.

The nakedness of the prophet became a sign for the future captives from Egypt and Cush.

A sign from the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 13)

The Lord asked Jeremiah to buy and put a new belt around his waist, afterwards he was asked to take that belt and hide it in the crevices of the rocks in Perath. Jeremiah did. Then the Lord asked him to go back and get the belt again. The belt was ruined and useless. Then the Lord said:

Jeremiah 13:9-11These wicked people, who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them, will be like this belt—completely useless! For as a belt is bound around the waist, so I bound all the people of Israel and all the people of Judah to me,’ declares the Lord, ‘to be my people for my renown and praise and honor. But they have not listened.’

The belt of the prophet became a sign for rebellious Israelites on how God sees them. Useless.

The sign from the prophet in SW Florida

Prior to the hurricane I asked them why they were not evacuating since they were facing a direct hit. They answered that they prayed about it, but they felt the Lord wanted them to stay. The prophet was hit with a natural disaster. A category 4 hurricane hit them straight on, but he was protected. Others who stayed home perished, they did not. They do not have access to food, but people are coming by delivering things here and there, when needed. The devil is trying to get them to be angry with the Lord, but they are rejoicing instead.

That is a sign for the entire body of Christ, and what many will be dealing with in the future, and how they are supposed to handle it. Pray, ask for His instructions, obey, go if He says go, stay if He says stay, and trust him to provide and take care of the needs, rejoicing in Him and don’t allow the enemy to use those circumstances to fill hearts with anger or other toxic emotions.

Then the Lord spoke and said this:

My children, this is a warning for you. It is a major warning for you. I warn you with the fire, and with the water. But this is just a warning (hurricane IAN). I warn my people. This is a warning for my people to open your eyes, to open your ears to hear my voice, because I AM coming soon, and I want you to be prepared, because it is coming to you very soon, very soon. This is a major warning for you my people, that you walk in holiness, that you walk in the Spirit, that you walk in the power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. So be warned, be warned about this. All the things will come, and you know that it is ME. I AM still on the throne. The devil is not in control. I AM in control, and I allow these things to warn my people, so that my people can lift up their eyes unto me and cry out to me, and I AM ready to answer when you cry out to me.

Nehemiah 9:30

For many years you were patient with them. By your Spirit you warned them through your prophets. Yet they paid no attention, so you gave them into the hands of the neighboring peoples.

Psalm 81:8

Hear me, my people, and I will warn you— if you would only listen to me, Israel!

Jeremiah 25:32

This is what the Lord Almighty says: “Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.”

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Deuteronomy 31:8

The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
