4 And you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord: “If you will not listen to Me, to walk in My law which I have set before you, 5 to heed the words of My servants the prophets whom I sent to you, both rising up early and sending them (but you have not heeded), 6 then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.” ’ ” Jeremiah 26
“In the beginning there was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. And then man was given a place to reside then. But temptation entered into his heart then, and he fell away from what was originally planned for him. And all through those years afterwards, my Spirit was poured out upon a select few. Men moved kingdoms, tore down temples, and were saved from the lion’s den. I spoke to some and they prophesied about what was to come. They warned my people Israel to throw away their idols of stone, and yet many would not listen to them. And then many years later, I sent them my Son, who came in the form of a humble servant. But they chose to cast Him away. They spat on Him and mocked Him, and jeered at Him while He carried the cross to Golgotha. And He died on that cross for all of humanity. And now two thousand years later, I have sent my prophets again. They have warned you repeatedly about what is to come. They have spent long hours in my presence listening to my voice, and then giving my word to the people. But the same thing has happened again. For now, many mock those who give these words. They say, ‘Where is the One who was promised to come?’ They say, ‘Our nation and our land is great, who would come to destroy it?’ So, I have sent you my Son; I have sent you my prophets; and how else am I to warn you? You will be left to your own devices on that day. You will find out that the arm of man will not save you. You will find out that you are a mere ant in the face of the horrendous things that are coming. But if you had only listened to Me. Perhaps then you would have been saved from what is to come. ”
