Hold on to Your Hats! (It’s Going to be a Rough Ride)

In a dream vision, the Holy Spirit placed me in the spirit standing next to a man who wore a hat. The man appeared to be in late middle age, perhaps early senior years, and the hat he wore was a tan “boonie” military contractor’s style hat. The hat’s thin adjustable strap hung under his chin. On the hat itself lay a colorful assortment of pins, souvenirs of places and former job postings. He exuded the air of a military veteran from long ago—perhaps the Gulf War (1990-1991) or in the early years of the War in Afghanistan (2001-2021) or the Iraq War (2003-2011)—someone whose memories remained with him. His blue eyes were wry, flinty, cynical, even haunted.
I was uncertain as to why I was standing next to a man dressed this way. As if in answer to my unspoken question, the man suddenly looked at me with his blue eyes, smiled, and uttered one word: “9/11”. He spoke no more. Just before I awoke from the dream, I looked down and saw that I held a similar boonie hat in my own hands.
In the days since I had that dream vision, I’ve wondered what message the Holy Spirit wished to impart. At first glance, the man seemed to have no obvious connection with 9/11. But the words he said were explicitly pronounced “nine-eleven” (9/11), not “nine-one-one” (911), the universal emergency number. The September 11, 2001 attacks—in which four hijacked planes were used as weapons to crash into NYC’s Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and rural southwestern Pennsylvania—were supposedly carried out by al-Qaeda Islamist suicide terrorists. But in the years since the attacks, much has been revealed that leads discerning minds to question the credibility of key parts of the official narrative. Many “conspiracy theorists” today regard 9/11 to be a classic case of a false flag event constructed to lead America into war.
When I reflected on the dream vision, three messages emerged. The first message is that American(?!) military contractors were involved in planning and executing some of the events of 9/11. The second message is that another 9/11 style false flag event on US soil is planned to shed innocent blood and take our nation to war again. The third message is a warning that the American people will need to “hold on to their hats” because they will be absolutely shocked and surprised by the event as it unfolds and leads to other unimaginable events.
During America’s judgement in the times ahead, stay close to the Lord. Hold Him in your heart and feel Him in your nearest breath. Worship Him and feel the kindling warmth of His love. Hearken to His voice and humbly obey His instructions and guidance. He will protect you and use you to protect others, body and soul.
Scripture:
2 Kings 6:16-17 NIV
16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Job 15:35 NIV
35 They conceive trouble and give birth to evil;
their womb fashions deceit.”
Psalm 28:6-9 NIV
6 Praise be to the Lord,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
7 The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
8 The Lord is the strength of his people,
a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.
9 Save your people and bless your inheritance;
be their shepherd and carry them forever.
Psalms 43:1-2 NIV
1 Vindicate me, my God,
and plead my cause
against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me from those who are
deceitful and wicked.
2 You are God my stronghold.
Psalms 140:1-8 NIV
1 Rescue me, Lord, from evildoers;
protect me from the violent,
2 who devise evil plans in their hearts
and stir up war every day.
3 They make their tongues as sharp as a serpent’s;
the poison of vipers is on their lips.
4 Keep me safe, Lord, from the hands of the wicked;
protect me from the violent,
who devise ways to trip my feet.
5 The arrogant have hidden a snare for me;
they have spread out the cords of their net
and have set traps for me along my path.
6 I say to the Lord, “You are my God.”
Hear, Lord, my cry for mercy.
7 Sovereign Lord, my strong deliverer,
you shield my head in the day of battle.
8 Do not grant the wicked their desires, Lord;
do not let their plans succeed.
Proverbs 6:16-19 NIV
16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17 haughty eyes,
a lying tongue,
hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19 a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.
Isaiah 59:1-8 NIV
59 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save,
nor his ear too dull to hear.
2 But your iniquities have separated
you from your God;
your sins have hidden his face from you,
so that he will not hear.
3 For your hands are stained with blood,
your fingers with guilt.
Your lips have spoken falsely,
and your tongue mutters wicked things.
4 No one calls for justice;
no one pleads a case with integrity.
They rely on empty arguments, they utter lies;
they conceive trouble and give birth to evil.
5 They hatch the eggs of vipers
and spin a spider’s web.
Whoever eats their eggs will die,
and when one is broken, an adder is hatched.
6 Their cobwebs are useless for clothing;
they cannot cover themselves with what they make.
Their deeds are evil deeds,
and acts of violence are in their hands.
7 Their feet rush into sin;
they are swift to shed innocent blood.
They pursue evil schemes;
acts of violence mark their ways.
8 The way of peace they do not know;
there is no justice in their paths.
They have turned them into crooked roads;
no one who walks along them will know peace.
Jeremiah 9:6 NIV
6 You live in the midst of deception;
in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,”
declares the Lord.
