I am like a tadpole in a sea of innumerable other tadpoles, (they are) oblivious to the others around them. They seem like they are not quite conscious, not fully awake, not ready to do their part.
I continue to observe as I grow, wondering how I can impact those around me, those who cannot see. Many routes I take are covered with barnacles, moss, and seaweed. Sometimes when I go through these obstacles, I find a predator waiting to capture me, if I am not careful. Many of my fellow tadpoles are careless and take the bait. For they have no cares of future happenings; and they do what pleases them in the moment. I try to explain the traps and pitfalls along the way, but they are dumb, deaf, and blind and continue their course. Eventually they are gone, and I suspect something went wrong.
I am still surrounded by that tadpole mentality, waiting for change. Will my fellow tadpoles ever grow up to their purpose? I hope so. For I have made an impact on some along the way. Those must be the ones chosen to impact the others and light the way.
I know I was created for a day, not too far away. I swim through the schools, under the sea, for the day many will be set free. My purpose is found in all the tadpoles that are around. For without them, my life would not have been found.
**Help others find their purpose, destination as you enlighten those around you. Not all will listen, but you will impact many along the way. The perturbations (waves) you make, echo through time.
