Help Me To Cross That Finish Line

Even though I’m overwhelmed and with much heartache, anguish and pain,
In You I put my hope and trust to come comfort me again;
As You see my sweat and tears, invigorate me to run with compassion, I will not repine,
For no matter the cost, I must fulfill my destiny and cross that finish line.

While I’m struggling in this long race with many obstacles along the way,
I’ll keep on pleading, praising and rejoicing until the break of day;
For to You, my Creator, my all in all I do resign,
For Almighty Father, I need Your help to cross that finish line.
In my distress I come to You for You are forever love, forever True,
For Most High, You can do all things, nothing is impossible for You;
So come lift me up when I stumble and fall, make Your Holy Presence shine,
So I can be a faithful soldier and cross that finish line.
And when I’m getting tired with no strength left at all,
Do send me more of Your Power as You remind me of my call;
And with extra effort I’m ready as I face another steep incline,
For to reach my goal I must press on and cross that finish line.
And if on the course I were to crawl, or even if You have to carry me,
I’ll be diligent to the end, for I know blessings are awaiting with much glory;
As You must test us all for loyalty and endurance, it’s all part of Your plan Divine;
At last it is in sight, with courage and zeal I’ll shout victory as I cross that finish line!
