During the first week in January, I’d just gotten up one morning when the Lord asked,
“Can you say, “He has nothing in me”?
I was taken aback by this question; because I felt my answer would have to be, “No.”
In John 14:30, Jesus said, “I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.”
Jesus revealed a lot in this one statement. First, to get the disciples attention, He let them know He wouldn’t be speaking with them much longer; that a powerful adversary was coming against Him – the prince of this world – the devil himself! By the time He spoke these words, key events had already taken place proving to all creation – the statement was true.
Before Jesus’ ministry began, the Spirit led Him into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. During a 40 day fast, the devil tempted Jesus with tactics used against man since creation; but the devil could find nothing in Jesus to use against Him.
The point is; Jesus was not ruled by, nor did He operate in, the flesh. He worshipped the Father in Spirit and in Truth – and says we are to do the same. Absolutely nothing in this world could move Him.
The Lord showed me; to be united with her Bridegroom, to do what she has been called to do, the Bride must also be able to say, “He has nothing in me!”
Jesus warned that tribulation, persecution, and the cares and lusts of the flesh would cause many to stumble and fall away (Mark 4).
Because the Church as a whole has disregarded His warnings and refused to follow His example, she’s become immersed in, and infiltrated by, this world. She now finds herself bound with the same chains of addictions, afflictions, and yokes of bondage as the world around her. Many are crying out to the Lord in agony, pleading for help and deliverance. The Lord has heard the cries of His people!
The last few days I’ve been feeling a “holy anger” rising up within me. Yesterday, while in prayer for individuals and brethren around the world, I heard the Holy Spirit say,
“Fight for them!”
The Lord then reminded me of the visions/word given of saints being held captive by chains, and the decree ‘Let My People Go!’ (given and posted last August); and that the Bride will be sent forth for ‘The Rescue Mission’.
It’s for this rescue mission that the Bride is told, ‘You Will Be My Instruments of Righteousness!’
- A Clarion Call To The People of God:
Saints, it’s time! It’s time to press in as never before. The Prince of this world is coming; this time for the set-apart ones, those in preparation – the Bride of Christ. The Bride’s struggle will not be against the lower ranked devils, but against the princes, against the rulers of the darkness! (Eph. 6:12)
The ministry of Jesus did not officially begin until after the fast, after the devil found nothing in Him. It was then that Jesus went forth delivering the captives, casting out devils, healing the sick – destroying the works of the devil! So will it be for His Bride!
Jesus made it very clear our normal every day methods will not prevail against Satan’s princes and rulers. He not only gave specific instructions, but was our perfect example, of how to stand against the devil.
These can only be dealt with by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). The heavy yokes, bondages, and strongholds of the enemy will be broken and destroyed, the captives set free, only through the prayer and fasting of His people (Isaiah 58). It’s time to enter our closet in prayer and fasting before God. We must prepare our hearts for the days ahead.
Jesus defeated the devil because He was able to say, “He has nothing in Me.”
The Bride must be able to say the same!
