H – A – N – S – E – L

On Sunday morning, January 23, 2022, just prior to waking, I received ‘one word’ from the Holy Spirit. I actually heard it as letters being spelled out one at a time. I assumed that was so there would be no misunderstanding on my part. The letters were H – A – N – S – E – L. My initial thought went straight to the fairy tale story of ‘Hansel & Gretel’ as that was the only thing familiar to me that included the name Hansel. Then I thought it was perhaps the name of someone in the news. I wish sometime that the Lord would come right out and say what He’s talking about so I won’t be so concerned that I may not get it right. In this case, I believe I was led to simply look up the definition. Wow! I had never heard of the word ‘hansel’ being used in that way. It is a NOUN which means:
1) a gift given for good luck at the beginning of the year or to mark an acquisition or the start of an enterprise;
2) something bestowed freely;
3) gift, present, presentation.
I had just completed a deeper study of the book of Ephesians the previous week and immediately thought of the verses that speak of our salvation through Jesus Christ as being ‘the GIFT of GOD.’
Ephesians 2:4-8: “But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us, 5) Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) 6) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; 7) That in the ages to come He might shew the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. 8) For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift [hansel] of God:
Folks, I don’t know if I’m right or not, but I have this excitement in my spirit that this is a ‘NOW WORD!’ I personally am waiting for a special gift to be freely bestowed upon me – that anointing that will come, the promised latter rain, the transforming power that will equip me totally for God’s end-time purposes. Could it be that with this one word spelled out to me, H – A – N – S – E – L, a clue has been given that this gift will come at the beginning of the year, and it will be the start of an enterprise, and aquisition of souls for God’s kingdom, known as the GREAT HARVEST? I wait with earnest expectation for the manifestation of the sons (and daughters) of God. (see Romans 8:16-23)
I hope you are blessed by this short word. Please pray and let the Holy Spirit interpret to each individual heart what He wants you to discern. I just want to be obedient to bring forth what our Lord gives me to share. I do wish we still had comments allowed. If anyone else is given a different interpretation of this word, please share it with all in a separate post. I surely may have missed something. Perhaps someone else may be given more understanding.
