GOD WATCHES OVER YOU: A RADICAL WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT

While praying this afternoon preceding my weekly participation in International Prayer time of 4PM EST (link below), which the Holy Spirit established four years ago. I was sharing with the Lord some concerns.
Living in Central Florida for 37 years, I have seen dramatic transformation from a primarily English speaking community to living in a community where 60% population are non-English speakers. It is quite diverse here and I was sharing my frustration in being very limited in speaking a second language particularly Spanish, which I had never achieved fluency. I would like to be more effective in sharing the Lord with others but feel limited. Despite this, there have been occasions where the Lord has supernaturally overcome language barriers.
The Holy Spirit reminded me of four experiences where He intervened and bridged the language gap despite the limitations of both speakers. I was told to share two of them at His bequest to encourage you in the coming days of government and community instability, lack, and fear, both in Mystery Babylon and worldwide.
In 1995, I traveled to Central America for a few days of vacation. After I had made arrangements, I was led by the Holy Spirit to buy 100 Spanish language tracts approx. 8 different subjects like the Lie of Catholicism, Why We don’t Pray to Saints (Jesus is the only Mediator to the Father), etc. (Chick Tracts are terrific witnesses, link below). These tracts present the true gospel via cartoons and deliver the Salvation message by having a relationship through Christ.
Each day, I would leave a few of them in public phone areas, bathrooms, restaurants and whatever place I visited. Having gone with limited funds, by the last day, I had 35 cents remaining. Thus, I got to fast that day and the only affordable activity was sitting by the motel pool until I left later in the day for home.
There were no other guests at the pool and I enjoyed my experience despite being thirsty – it was around 100 degrees being close to the Equator. While I sunbathed, I was praying about what to do with the remaining tracts. I was puzzled why I had been led to buy so many for my four day visit.
Just then, a waitress came to see if I needed anything and I explained I had no money (she understood though she wasn’t comfortable speaking English). As she was about to leave the Holy Spirit prompted me to start a conversation, so I asked her to wait, while I fished out a tract from my bag (I had about 70 or so left). I handed her one and she asked after she leafed through, “You’re a Christian?” I said yes. She said “So am I!”. I understood that she had a real relationship with Christ and we had a very happy but limited conversation. I asked her if she wanted some of the tracts to share with others and she said yes.
About 20 minutes later, she returned and told me she had given them all away to her co-workers. The Holy Spirit told me to share with her all remaining tracts. She was reluctant at first because she didn’t want to clean me out. I explained, that she was an answer to my prayer! I had been praying when she approached me. We were both over-joyed. I wonder how many came to Christ after reading the gospel message? I can’t wait to see her again in heaven to chat about our encounter. I left only a few hours later – oh, and she did bring me water to replenish me.
I’ve been told to share another instance where God showed up in a major way, I had placed an online ad to sell books I had remaining after I could no longer run my book business (side hustle) due to health and other issues. I had some Christian apologetics for sale and a woman, with limited English called me to ask about them. I provided her, their titles and a brief description. She asked me why I was selling them. I told her I needed the money otherwise I would have kept them myself. We arranged for her to come that weekend after her Sunday church service because she lived more than an hour away. I had recently had knee surgery and could barely get around and had no one to help me -so I wasn’t able to cook or clean and this was shared in our conversation.
When she arrived, her family came and one of the pastor’s from her church and his family showed up. There were about ten people standing in my living room. The Pastor with his son translating, offered to pray for me and I agreed as I knew these people were the real deal. He began speaking Spanish and the Holy Spirit gave me the interpretation in general sense, as he continued he started speaking in English, this went on for about 10 or so minutes! He even shared that everyone who knew him, knows he can’t speak English but it was through the Holy Spirit, he was doing so. Everyone was nodding that he only spoke Spanish. The anointing was powerful, I was moved deeply by his earnest requests on my behalf and crying because the Holy Spirit ministered so greatly. As they left, they told me that they had had a covered dish dinner after service and had leftovers, would I like some. I said yes and they gave me enough for three meals and it was delicious. Before they left, the woman told me she didn’t want me to sell the books (I wondered why she wanted books in English) and gave me the cash I had been asking. I was so blessed by these “strangers”. God sent people, who were willing to make a more than 2 1/2 hours round trip, just to encourage me a stranger and give me hope. God is our strength and salvation!
Friends, God will show up we can never imagine. I truly believe that when we have faith, we will see Him. Don’t allow the circumstances to be bigger than God. He loves you and wanted this message of encouragement to be shared. I hadn’t thought about these things for quite sometime. Hold on this Word. Print it out and post it on a mirror or refrigeration to remind yourself that God is watching over you.
