God Is Pruning His House.
I wanted to know what the judgments are that would begin in the house of God.
1 Peter 4:17, For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
I asked the Lord to give me understanding. I see judgments beginning in the world already, why has the house of God not been judged?
After about a week asking this, I awakened in the morning with John 15:1-6 being spoken in my head. “Becky,” the Lord said, “the judgment against the house of God began some time ago.” And then He revealed to me the meaning of John 15.
John 15:1-6
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now ye are clean (pruned) through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
The Word cleans. It prunes us. It cuts off everything undesirable; dead works. (Heb. 9:14)
But there are many who continue in their sin, refusing the Word to prune them, saying they are clean.
Many who call themselves “The body of Christ” are being cut off. The Lord cuts off every branch that does not bear fruit. The fruit is the fruit of the Spirit.
Those who refuse to repent seek their own. They seek their own power, self-exaltation, their own ministry, and prosperity. They empower themselves and equip themselves. They teach their own doctrines, doctrines of devils. They become their own gods. They have no need of the Life juices that flow in the True Vine. This is New Age. Jesus warned us to be watchful against it. It is the same deception that satan presented to Eve in the garden.
These want God and the lusts of the world. Jesus said we can not serve both.
God is pruning His house.
He is cutting off every branch that is not bearing His fruit.
God is holy!
We can not attach ourselves to the Vine on our terms.
We abide in the Vine on His terms.
We come before Him broken and contrite. We come before Him humble, and empty of self. It is here that we are transformed, re-created, made holy, completely pruned of the lusts of this world.
