God Is Bigger Than Texas – Mike M.

God is bigger than Texas

The evening of 5-26-19 I was just minding my own business when I got one of those ‘prophecy drive by’s’ I like to call them. I am lead to write it down. It flows through. It was brewing for months as the Lord lead me to story after story coming out of Texas and experience after experience.

One thing is for sure: God loves the people of Texas, as do I. Texans are a tough people. He loves all people. He’s not taking us to the wood shed here-he is sending an open invitation to let him be Lord of all in the soul and emotional realm. He is emphasizing that harshness from him is not in season, but a kind and gentle warning to those being saved, those washing their robes white.

We can’t run around treating people how we feel or go off half-baked drawing instant conclusions about people, situations, and things. Texas has a no frills approach to life, which can be good in the right situation. But not always.

This is what the Father is saying here. To he who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Judgment begins in the house of God. He chastises those he loves. Always love behind the correction, although it does not seem loving at the time, but it will indeed produce fruit if we persevere. Here is what I received.

God is telling Texas to repent of it’s arrogance and pride: the holding of grudges, from hard and bitter hearts. For these are not fruits of the spirit. God says, “This is not ‘Texas Strong’ “.

Determination is a sign of strength, but bitterness and hatred are not. Though these emotions are intense and have power and momentum, they reside in the flesh and not in the spirit. For the flesh can do nothing without the spirit. Jn. 6:63. The Spirit gives life. We are nothing without the spirit.

So are we doing it in our own strength where might makes right? or are we plugged into the spirit and allowing him to teach us these things as we abide in him and they flow through us? Our efforts where we show God how good we are doing (and I understand because I have this same struggle) or by giving our lives and will up to him to guide us and empower us? For his ways are higher than ours.

He is perfect. We are not. Wisdom from earth? or wisdom from heaven above? Wisdom from heaven is first of all peaceable.

“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.” James 3:17.

Even greater danger approaches Texas. Repent! Do your first works over!

Return to your first love. Rev. 2:4. Put aside your generational sexual sins, for I see what is done in secret. Matt. 6:4. You may fool man but you will not fool me, declares the Lord. I know your thoughts afar off. I am acquainted with all your ways. Psalm 139: 1-6.

Cast DOWN the vain imaginations!! Pray to RESTORE your holy imagination!! Let me REPLACE your lusts with FRUIT that will last!!

Turn from your violence and blind rage. Prov. 15:1. Eph. 4:26. Turn from petty revenge! For vengeance is mine says the Lord. Rom. 12:19. Real men serve God with a humble heart. I Peter 5:5. Any barbarian can inflict anger and rage. If you live ‘an eye for an eye’ then so shall your eye no longer see. If you live by the sword, then you will surely die by the same sword. Matt. 26:52. But if by the power of the Spirit you put to DEATH the deeds done in the body, the flesh-then you will live. Rom. 8:13.
