Father, even all of creation, in its freshness each day, points upward to You.
I thank You for fresh bread.
I thank You for fresh manna.
I thank You today for a fresh start.
I thank You for fresh starts.
I thank You for fresh revelation.
I thank You for a fresh beginning.
I thank You for fresh restorations that will come today.
I thank You for the fresh healing of a wound.
I thank You today for fresh understanding.
I thank You for fresh air.
I thank You for the fresh new sunrise.
I thank You for the fresh birdsong outside in the woods.
I thank You for the fresh breath from the farm breathed in today.
I thank You for the song of fresh sound in my throat.
I thank You for fresh laughter today.
It’s new today. It’s brand new.
It’s not the same laughter as yesterday.
I thank You for the fresh effort of trying again today.
I thank You for fresh forgiveness—
that I can give and that I will receive.
I thank You for the fresh new grass.
I thank You for the fresh flowers.
I thank You for the fresh meal spread before me.
I thank You for the fresh protection I have today.
I thank You for the fresh comfort that encompasses me.
I thank You for the warmth and the fresh blanket.
I thank You, God, for fresh water.
I thank You for the fresh reading of Your Word today.
I thank You for the fresh hearing of the sounds I hear today.
I thank You for my fresh tears of worship for You today.
Lord, I can’t rely on the stale
or the crunch of the pieces that were given and offered yesterday.
I pray, God, for the freshness of my words
and the freshness of my heart—
the freshness of my tears,
the freshness of my throat,
the freshness of my heart—
renewed and fresh today.
Cracked open freshly today
for the Surgeon to reach in,
to freshly arrange and heal
and teach
and sculpt today.
Thank You for new clay today,
new water, and a new spinning wheel.
Thank You, God, that You hear these words.
Thank You, God, for a new, fresh opportunity
beginning now.
The clock does not tick backward.
We must see the beauty of the freshness of forward.
Thank You for the fresh forward movement.
Father, as I started this prayer,
I thank You that I saw how creation—
even creation—tilts its face and its chin up to You.
May my chin and my face tilt up toward You
as I offer words of worship and praise and repentance
and love and humility.
Feed this bird as I tilt upward to You.
May my mouth not just be open to take and receive,
but may this little beak be moving and squeaking
and praising
and squawking and singing—
all my broken pieces and broken words—
and You take them as music to Your throne.
Thank You for the newness of this day,
which tells me I see a fresh opportunity
to live anew once more.
Thank You, my Father,
for another
fresh
start,
another fresh day.
