Enough I say…ENOUGH!!!

The grumblers, the complainers, the naysayers the trouble-makers speak to be heard, but they do not often speak truth; offering oppression and despair they gather an ever widening audience. The heart of the humble breaks as pride within the people grows ever stronger and more determined. Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Your time on earth is brief. Why do you spend such precious moments listening to the heartache and hatred of others? If you have been raised with Christ seek the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.
Why have you allowed the bitterness of others to become bitter within you? Why do you count among your friends those whose hearts have long ago rejected The Light and now embrace the darkness? Why do you wear the grave clothes of death instead of the garments of praise? Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Why have you cast aside The Word while clinging tightly to the world? But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire– Enough I say…ENOUGH!!!

    @ Ali,

What an AWESOME word! I had only read about half-way through, when the following scripture came to mind, because I immediately understood His deep Truth within the words you wrote.

    Mark 12:32-34 –
32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. 33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, IS MORE THAN ALL the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

34 Now when Jesus SAW that he answered WISELY, He said to him, “You ARE NOT FAR from the kingdom of God.”

    Thank you for sharing this!
    A brother,
    Tim
