Dream Warning: A Tent Revival for Pastors Only, Not the Holy Spirit

Before the dream:
This may be the worst ministry dream I have ever had and it is hard for me to even speak it at this present time. My heart was aching the day prior, and I succeeded at ignoring it for some time, especially because yesterday was my day off and I did need the rest and time to myself. But as of awaking now and as I began to record the dream, I realized now why the aching has been haunting my heart yesterday.
Dream:
I found myself heading to some kind of Christian meeting under a large tent placed among the downtown and government buildings of a city and it also seemed to be at a city park. The tent spanned fifty feet more or less at the width, and maybe one hundred or more feet at the length. All around the interior of the tent had been placed tables and folding chairs that encircled the entire tent for people to sit under it, and so we filled the tent facing inward towards each other around the perimeter, a large gathering of maybe fifty people or more. The tables suggest that we were about to eat. As I took my seat there, I had a sense that some people at this meeting already knew me and were somewhat sympathetic or favorable or supportive to my ministry as a gospel preacher, while many others did not know me at all.
So, as I sat with pure optimism and excitement for this ten-trevival to continue, (as that is what it appeared to be), they did not delay to begin, and two or three people took the center of the tent, where there were no chairs or tables, and began to address the crowd. One of them quickly began to dominate this speaking portion of time and appeared to be a pastor of a local church (likely one of the essential event coordinators or leaders). Now this is what he said to initiate the meeting for everyone present: he spoke a typical customary hello over a mic, and perhaps something else of an announcement, but immediately he said something startling, which appeared to be especially to those more familiar with his agenda already, and it was something with the words,
“… and we don’t need any subject-matter-experts in the church.”
Now in this dream I am certain that I did not pick up on exactly what else he was saying, but that was a deliberate feature of this dream, and not because I had suffered any lack of attention to him, nor was I negligent or deaf of hearing to what he was saying. It is simply that this part of the dream was sufficient to show me that this meeting was already about to go off the rails; I mean that it was no longer God’s will that was about to be done here. So as soon as he had finished making this brazenly incorrect statement, I spoke directly to him from only about twenty to thirty feet away inside the tent where I was sitting, even with sarcasm,
“Oh. Yea. Because God does not give anyone spiritual gifts in the church. Why would we listen to people with spiritual gifts?”
As I spoke these words, I had already begun to get out of my chair and make my way down the side of the tent towards the sidewalk and the entrance, which I was now turning into my exit. As I did so, several people from different directions converged at me and followed me out of the tent, harassing me verbally, and one of them eventually began to shove me lightly. These were fictional people. I knew one of them but not in real life. And I spoke to this man pleading with him to have empathy for what I was experiencing. I said to him,
“This could be you, you know better than this, you are doing this to yourself,” “I am you right now,” and perhaps other phrases to the same effect, and as I said these things, my heart hurt and I was bending over holding my chest. I even started to kneel a bit.
And at this point, the dream seems to have ended, as I found myself immediately awake bothered by this dream and wondering what it might mean for any future ministry events that I may look forward to attending.
Interpretation:
The dream shows that we are about to see a schism in the body of Christ which paul warns us about as being unavoidable and necessary, when he addressed the first known schism in the body of Christ of recorded history that took place in Corinth, beginning with First Corinthians chapters one through four especially, wherein he gives the solution, which is that the church schism must be resolved by seeing the power of the Holy Spirit: as, “the kingdom of God does not consist of words but of power.”
This dream appears to be fully self- explanatory. I know I will see these people at some point, perhaps not only hearing about what they say, but they may also be part of my immediate future as well. I expect to be persecuted because that is what Christ said:
“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
Matthew 5:11-12
“But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also.”
John 15:21-23
“But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;”
