I want to begin by blessing the Lord our God, Yeshua ha’ Mashiach, Jesus Christ, the fountain of Life and the living Word of God. It is Him who has called us into His marvelous light and sanctified us to become children of the living God.
Not so long ago, our Good Lord has blessed me with dreams relating to thick, unfathomable darkness, such darkness as we have never experienced. I have the urgency from the Lord to share these dreams today.
The dreams are thus:
Dream 1: Spongy, Honeycombed Pitch Darkness!
I received this dream in 2017.
In the dream, I was in the house on a normal night and the lights were on in the house. There was nothing unusual, but for some reason I walked to the window and pulled the curtain open. To my shock and alarm, there was absolutely nothing to be seen through the pane of the window. Absolutely nothing! It was pitch black.
There was something peculiar about this darkness. It was textured, as though it was tangible. It looked spongy, with the structure of the honeycomb but yet pitch black. I felt that this darkness was tangible, that perhaps if I could, I would be able to touch it and feel it.
But in the house there was light from electricity.
The dream ended.
Dream 2: Misty, Amorphous Pitch Darkness!
This was more of an experience than a dream, which I received late last year November 2018.
In the dream, I had just woken up and was sitting on my bed in the bedroom, and there was total darkness. Pitch black! Absolutely nothing to see. As though I was blind. But I felt the Lord was next to me, on my left side.
The Lord guided me to the kitchen where the candles and matchboxes are. I managed to get a candle and a matchbox, and struck a matchstick to light the candle. There was a small flare which was strong enough to light the candle, and so I lit the candle.
Nonetheless, the darkness was too thick and it overpowered the light, so that the light could not penetrate this darkness. As I watched the candle thread struggle to burn, it was as though the darkness was pouring all over the candle thread and subduing it, so that its light I could hardly be seen beyond the tips of my fingers that were holding the candle and the matchstick. This darkness was like something that was alive and it kept morphing and pouring over the candle light and dripping downwards.
The net effect was that the situation was no different with or without the candle lit. The light of the candle was only able to penetrate something like one inch around its thread, and so I remained in pitch darkness just as before.
The dream ended.

They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.
Deut. 4:11 Then you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.
2 Sam. 22:10 – 12 He bowed the heavens also, and came down with darkness under His feet. He rode upon a cherub, and flew; And He was seen upon the wings of the wind. He made darkness canopies around Him, dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
Job 3: 3 – 5 May the day perish on which I was born, and the night in which it was said, “A male child is conceived.’ May that day be darkness; May God above not seek it, Nor the light shine upon it. May darkness and the shadow of death claim it; May a cloud settle on it; May blackness of the day terrify it.
Luke 23: 44 – 45 Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. The sun was darkened and the veil of the temple was torn in two.
Acts 2: 20 – 21 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 13: 9 – 11 Then Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him and said, “O full of all deceit and all fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the straight ways of the Lord? And now in deed the hand of the Lord is upon you, you shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a time. And immediately a dark mist fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
2 Peter 2: 17 These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.
Brethren, these dreams tell us how close we ought to be to the Lord, because only by His strength will we be able to endure such dreadful events. Be encouraged brothers and sisters!
