Please note that this dream must serve as primarily a call to prayer of intercession for southern Mexico and for discernment and guidance.

Dream

I am driving with a friend and for some reason we need to go to Mexico so we drive over the border with ease and begin to just navigate Mexico as if we are completely fine with all of the territory, at least what we need for the road trip, so that we can treat everyone like we’ve been there before and perhaps my companion has. That would make sense because he is the leader of this road trip in that he has the car and I am just a passenger, I don’t know as much about what he is doing and why he is making certain decisions about where to stop and what to do.

One thing I know for certain is that we are trying to get to Southern Mexico in a car on a preplanned path which we are keeping up with via web navigation on a tracking app. Also, online we discover in so many ways that the hurricane approaching is going to intercept us down in the lower part of the Gulf of Mexico . Specifically, we are supposed to drive along the Gulf coast until we reach a massive mountain, which had a proper name and was famous, which I had never heard of or at least did not know about what it was and I think it was called something like Sierra de Mexico or Mother or something like that, and it was extremely large and somewhat symmetrical and dominated the country for miles and miles in all directions such was its grandeur. Its position was almost as far south as where the gulf becomes horizontal as one goes towards the Yucatán, but not quite that far south, and it was pressed tightly against the shore. So when the hurricane would arrive from the south and center of the country (south of Mexico City), simultaneously as we did, we discovered almost at the last minute that the hurricane would overtake us as we attempted to slip between the mountain and the Gulf shore, which I immediately thought to be a disastrous idea as we would be quite literally flooded away from the mountain into the Gulf, so we agreed to stop and turn around and perhaps find an alternative route along either the western half of Mexico or we would simply have to wait out the storm, and the area we chose for our brief retreat was full of what appeared to be rural structures, such as plentiful parking lots in gravel or dirt next to large country scenes, bars, gas stations, and similar things. Now as we navigated this terrain, I was simply at the mercy of my friend’s familiarity with Mexico, and essentially, we felt vulnerable, and we’re having trouble keeping track of our things which included stashing a pistol and some other gear in a trashcan and having to go back for it somewhat at the last minute due to miscommunication and I am not sure why we were discombobulated like this.

It was around this time that I found myself somewhat transported into a different type of townscape separated from that friend, so the mission was over. I suppos some of it actually looked like Home instead of Mexico now and I was just trying to keep up with busy very connected people as in they were connected to their daily grinds, which seemed to include not only a work hustle for some in which I saw them driving around town on mopeds and such things distributing or receiving cash from other busy people at random locations, or later on I spent time also with some college students and I think that I finally ran into and I kid you not two young men who could only remind me of and had somewhat the appearance of Frodo and another hobbit you might say. And I saw US Marshalls or cops trying to discreetly watch a town strip area but they were so long staying in their chairs in public that it became obvious they were staking the area out for some reason.

End of Dream

Interpretation:

It was at this point that I was simply just trying to go home so it seems like the Mexico trip was canceled, and I do believe that it had some kind of prophetic purpose because it was taken even somewhat in the dream as a sign of conflict with what we had aspired to accomplish pertaining to ministry versus what became impossible due to perhaps a judgment against the people we would try to minister to at the end destination, who, by the judging of the hurricane were perhaps unworthy of our mission and needed to repent instead of receiving the grace of a church blessing. This was the immediate interpretive sense of the dream, and I do not know about the rest.

I quickly researched the map of Mexico after this dream to see what the terrain looks like, and if it matches anything in the dream. What I discovered is that The great mountain of Mexico, as seemed to be the sense of its proper name in my dream perfectly matches an actual mountainous bulge that centers around the location of Xalapa to the east of Mexico City, where the mountain range sweeping up from the south suddenly bends out towards the ocean and pinches the land against the gulf from Vega de Alatorre to Playa villa Rica. So the dream is accurate and has taught me some Mexican geography. Not only this but I already had the sense of its accurate name Sierra de Madre (actually Sierra Madre Oriental). This serves as further evidence that the Lord is showing an unfavorable situation for southern Mexico at this time.

I believe that the later details of the dream that looked more like my home turf are likely for my self alone to interpret for my own life, but the Mexico trip and it’s obstacle are for the church and for missionaries and pastors in Mexico to apply. So please, if you know any, send them this dream.
