I had a dream last night where we were hiding from the government. People were starving. Snipers were taking shots at us. Even the animals, which had been pets. were in the streets starving. I heard words in my dream that came from nowhere and didn’t seem part of my dream but as if someone was commenting on what was happening. The words I heard were…..THIS PRETTY GOVERNMENT HAS MADE ITSELF A PAPACY. As I was thinking about this dream this morning, and I was thinking also about how God is everything, one word came to my mind…ENMITY. (a very deep unfriendly feeling, an active, and typically mutual hatred or ill will)
So I looked up enmity in my bible and began to read in James 4:1-7. And as I finished reading my husband comes in not knowing any of what I has dreamed, heard, or read and he lays his bible in my lap for me to read what he was reading this morning. In my lap was his bible opened to James 4 with 1-7 highlighted. The same verse.
James 4:1-7 KJV
[1] From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? [2] Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. [3] Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. [4] Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5] Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? [6] But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. [7] Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
