DON’T BE SURPRISED WHEN THE WORLD STANDS AGAINST YOU, AND EVEN SOME OF MY BODY

8/2/18

18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. John 15

“Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.” James 5:10 “If you are true to Me and my word, the world will come against you. For those who speak for Me, my prophets, you will face a series of trials unequaled to those who are in this world. For was I not persecuted? Did I not face a backlash from the rulers of this age?

Don’t be surprised when the world will stand against you. Don’t be surprised even when my very body stands against you. For much of the body is asleep. They have been lulled to sleep by the spirit of this age. Many go to their churches and hear the same sermons every Sunday. And now they hear another message.

Most are so used to the ease that they have experienced for years; and now one tells them that their entire world will be turned upside down. Now one tells them that their king is not the one that they thought he was. But yet even now, some still have their favorite prophets and messengers.

But go ahead, sing your songs and dress in your favorite clothes. I tell you, says the Lord, that none of this pleases Me. I would rather you go and listen to your finest concerts somewhere else!

Where will you go when your churches have fallen? What will happen when your red carpets and pews are demolished? Thus would say the Spirit of the Lord.”
