Come to the Lord while He may still be found

MY HIDING PLACE

Good afternoon brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus Christ.

While I read through Exodus 32, the Holy Spirit highlighted a few verses and prompted me to share them.

For context, this chapter occurred after the 10 plagues, the parting of the Red Sea, the manna being delivered from heaven and water from a rock. The Israelites had also seen God’s glory about the mountain, including the lightning, thundering, trumpets and smoke (Exodus 20:18). At this point, Moses had been on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights fasting, receiving God’s laws for His people.

V1 When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us.”

It’s unbelievable that, not long after the Israelites had witnessed God’s amazing miracles that, instead of supporting their leader through prayer, they resolved to idolatry. They knew Moses was gone up the mountain to receive God’s instructions for them, but their shallow relationship with the Father made them easily lured into their old carnal ways.

In today’s world, there are ministers who, like Moses, have been called and anointed to bear down the responsibility on behalf of God’s people. They spend hours fasting, praying and into the Word to ensure that what they share is truly coming from God’s throne. If this is you, I thank you for your faithfulness to the Lord. Know that the Lord is pleased with your service. Continue in His ways, being faithful to the end and you will indeed get your rewards in heaven from the Father.

However, there are many Christians who, instead of supporting their leaders through prayers and intercession, they are very much attracted to the ways of the world. On June 1/2021, the Lord gave me a powerful vision I can use to illustrate this. He showed me a person that looked like an inflatable, filled with helium, if you will, whose tendency was to float toward heaven, toward the Father. However, this inflatable person had chains attached to its hands and feet and was weighed down toward the earth. These chains represent many things that keep people attached to the world and hinder them from falling into the full plan God has for their lives. If you are one of these individuals, I want to encourage you today to take charge of your life and ask Jesus to deliver you from these chains. You cannot break these chains off by yourself. But with the Lord’s help you can! Begin by confessing these chains to the Lord one by one, then asking for His forgiveness and His blood to cover all your sins, and to lead you into the path He has designed for you since the beginning of time.

V2a) Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.”

Aaron represents those leaders in our society who, may have been greatly used by the Lord in the past, but have now become complacent to the world and have bent their knees to Satan’s plan. They lack fellowship with the Holy Spirit and are not in the counsel of the Almighty. They encourage their sheep to do things contrary to what the Lord would have commanded because they rely on their own intelligence to make decisions rather than the Word of God. They quote scriptures but their sermons lack power. Their messages are lukewarm because in reality, although they profess Christianity, they do not acknowledge the divine power of God.

Please use your God-given discernment to determine whether your leader is in fact leading after God’s own heart or following false doctrines. Do not assume that just because they are in the leadership role that they are following the Lord. Failure to use your discernment in this will turn out to be a deadly mistake.

If you are a leader reading this, examine yourself to see if you are approved by God. If the Holy Spirit points to deficiencies in your walk with the Lord, do not ignore His instructions. Repent at once and come into the fellowship with the Spirit of the Living God.

V4-6 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” So they next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.

People of God: you cannot afford to be playing games! Do not offer songs/prayers to the Lord and then fall back to things you know the Lord hates. Take a stand for the Lord! If you are doing this back and forth, you are playing with fire and you will get burned. Refrain from offering the Lord lip service and then boast, swear, ignore the Lord’s teachings, falling into the ways of Satan. There is no time left. Repent today! Come to the Lord while He may still be found.

For those of you who know how late the hour is and are taking every occasion to spend before the throne of God, I want to encourage you today to not give up. I know the enemy has been hard at work trying to push us down, discourage us, defeat us. Claim victory in the name of Jesus! Continue to wear the Lord’s full armour and cover yourself with the blood of Jesus. Pursue holiness, righteousness and all the fruits of the Spirit. Soon the Holy Spirit will pour down His End Time extra abundant anointing for us all.

Peace to you all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah.
