In late September this year, I was waiting in an airport lounge and the Lord told me, John Farnham is going soon, pray for him.

There have been times when I have begun to pray for an individual and the Lord has redirected me.  He knows the ones who are ready to hear the truth. He knows who will be saved and who will not.

For those who may not know, John Farnham is one of Australia’s best-known and most popular performers.  Hit song You’re The Voice ……..he certainly had the voice.

He was diagnosed with cancer and in 2022 he underwent a nearly twelve-hour surgery to remove a tumour in his mouth, including jaw reconstruction. He never regained his health.  He is now on oxygen under 24hr care in his home. I knew this when the Lord said pray for him.

Our Heavenly Father does not want any to perish.

He knows where John’s heart is right now.  He knows everything that is going through his mind. This is where the gifts of the Holy Spirit are vital.

Romans 8:26 “for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

When God asks you to pray for someone, be sure to obey.  He works through the prayers of His people.
