If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 Jn 1:9).

Oh, how my people love to use and abuse my word!  How this Laodicean generation has lifted phrases and verses right out of their context, and transformed them into something their own wicked hearts desire!

When you confess your sin, it is to be as if you are confessing to a crime.  This is no light thing.  When David confessed his sin, did not his heart cause him to humble himself in abject misery?  When Nathan the prophet confronted him, did David just casually remark: ‘Oh yes, that was me, I admit it.  Now forgive me Lord, and all is well’?  No. His conscience smote him to the ground.  When judgment was pronounced upon him, a judgment that was permanent, he did not chafe.  He did not argue and rebel.  No, he was grateful, that along with the judgment, his sins were truly forgiven, and that he was not to be a castaway, as Saul was a castaway.  It is a fearful and terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

So many in this apostate church think they can come to me, after they have sinned with the same sin, and simply acknowledge it, and think they are receiving forgiveness and can carry on, as if nothing has happened, with no thought that confession and genuine repentance are one and the same.  You cannot have one without the other.  You may repent without public confession, but confession without repentance is worthless.

When you confess, you are acknowledging that you have trespassed against a holy God.  A God that is not to be trifled with.  A God that demands a commitment to perfection.  And what sort of perfection?  Perfect obedience to what has been revealed to you as to your duty as a bondservant of Christ.

My people, you have no power, and you have no victory, because you don’t treat sin as I treat sin.  If I had to shed my blood to atone for your sin, how can you then come to me, casually confess, and then immediately commit the same transgressions so quickly and effortlessly?  Did I not tell those that I forgave to go and sin no more?

Where are the preachers who will tell you the truth concerning your sin?  Who out there is frantically warning you, begging and pleading that you put away your idolatry and immorality?  Do you think you can practice any form of these things and simply use 1 Jn 1:9 as your escape?  Do you really believe that your God is that naive, that an insincere, repetitious prayer absolves you of all guilt?

I gave you 66 books so that you won’t be deceived.  Wicked men and charlatans will speak of one verse and ignore many others.  You cannot build a doctrine on one verse.  That is why in the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses shall every matter be established.

What was the first word that I spoke as I began my ministry?  Confess your sin?  Pray a prayer?  No, but Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

When I walked the earth, I spoke of that generation as an evil and adulterous generation.  Do you believe your generation has become more righteous?  Has it not gotten worse?  Has it not plunged into a level of darkness that none of your ancestors have ever witnessed?  Has not the old Canaanite religion been resurrected and become the religion of your land?  Child sacrifice and the most heinous perversions are now the norm.  And what do my people do?  They have married themselves to the internet.  Whether addicted to pornography, or to social media, or to shopping for bargains, they have traded their prayer closets for the things of this world.  They have sacrificed their attention spans on the altar of being like everyone else.  After all, is not everyone wedded to their cell phone?  How could I survive without one?

For those who casually disregard the abominations and atrocities of the sexually depraved, repent, and repent quickly, else I will come and douse the light within that you have.  This generation is drowning in the practices of Canaan.  The revelation of the utter wickedness of sexual sin has been lost, because you have been swimming in this culture of filth.  My children, how shall you escape the sure judgment to come if you do not cut yourself off from these things?  Did I not already say that if your hand or eye or foot causes you to stumble, that you must cut it off in order to escape the fires of hell?  Instead many of you choose to play with fire instead!

While my remnant preoccupies themselves with attempting to discern prophetic timelines and the day of the Lord, did I not command you to occupy until I come?  And what does that mean?  That means going about my Father’s business.  And you can only do my Father’s business effectively if you have made yourself to be a vessel that is worthy to be filled with my power and my glory.  I cannot fill unclean vessels.  If you refuse to cleanse yourselves, do not be surprised if my Spirit passes you by.

But for those of you who decide to cleanse yourself of all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God, the opportunities are unlimited.  Just because you see few opportunities to minister today, do not think that I cannot change that in an instant.  Just one event of great consequence, and in one hour many shall be seeking answers.  Will you be one of those chosen ones, prepared by my Father, full of grace and glory, that will lead many to righteousness?  Will you be one of the few that will shine as those brightest stars in the firmament?  Or will you continue to allow the false teachers of today to keep you in a spiritual stupor, oblivious to the eternal dangers that their doctrines bring?

The time is later than you think.  What I say to you, I say to all.  Wake up, for your redemption draweth nigh.  Wake up, and make your calling and election sure.
