Leviticus 16:29

This is to be a permanent statute for you: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month you are to practice self-denial and do no work, both the native and the foreigner who resides among you.

Hebrews 2:16,17

For it is clear that He does not reach out to help angels, but to help Abraham’s offspring.

Therefore, it was essential that He had to be made like His brothers (mankind) in every respect, so that He might [by experience] become a merciful and faithful High Priest in things related to God, to make atonement (propitiation) for the people’s sins [thereby wiping away the sin, satisfying divine justice, and providing a way of reconciliation between God and mankind

My people come near and afflict your souls. Fast and pray and allow my Spirit to take hold and weep for your sins and the sins of your nation.

The Lamb’s book of Life is open and those whose names are written there will be stamped with gold. Those who thought they were righteous but did not keep My commandments and did not love their neighbor and forgive their brother, their names are not written so plead for my mercy and my grace over these that they might return and do what is right. I am ready to save . I am ready to forgive. Most of the world teaches prosperity and blessing but does not teach you to afflict your souls and to feel the weightiness of my Presence and my decision. Had you read my Word and really studied it , this would be a common custom for you.

Wail, for the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.

Weep now and cleanse your hands so you will be received.

Loosen the bands of injustice and care for the poor. Weep for their souls.

The return of the Lord is near.

James 5

1Come now, you who are rich, weep and wail over the misery to come upon you. 2Your riches have rotted and moths have eaten your clothes. 3Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and consume your flesh like fire.

You have hoarded treasure in the last days. 4Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

5You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in the day of slaughter. 6You have condemned and murdered the righteous, who did not resist you.

7Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer awaits the precious fruit of the soil—how patient he is for the fall and spring rains.a 8You, too, be patient and strengthen your hearts, because the Lord’s coming is near. 9Do not complain about one another, brothers, so that you will not be judged. Look, the Judge is standing at the door!

10Brothers, as an example of patience in affliction, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. 11See how blessed we consider those who have persevered. You have heard of Job’s perseverance and have seen the outcome from the Lord. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy

Seek Him while He may be found. He is standing at the gate to the entrance of the Lamb’s book of Life . He is waiting for you.
