A WIDE-BRIMMED HAT SAVES THE DAY!

On 6/2/2021 I saw a vision of me driving my car over a bridge. As I drove over, I saw many birds gathered together flying in unison along side of me. End of vision.

I don’t know what it is about me and birds, but they seem to love me. In fact, I seem to be some sort of human bird magnet. I first wrote about this phenomenon in “The Miracle of the Birds”, which is located here: The Miracle of the Birds – Dana R – 444 Prophecy News. And again in “A Bird in the Stove”, which is located here: A Bird in the Stove | Z3 News.
Not long after those incidents, a contractor came to my front door to give me a bid on some work. When I opened the door, a bird who had created a nest on the wall sconce next to my front door, tried to fly into my house! Fortunately, the contractor managed to shoo her away before she got inside.

Now these incidents happened at my old house in Ohio. When I moved to my rental house in Missouri, I thought for sure that my bird woes were a thing of the past. O contraire.

One day in April of 2020, I stepped out onto my front porch and noticed copious bird doo everywhere. So I looked up and noticed a bird nest on the top of the cedar post on my front porch! Oh no! Not again.

So, I got myself a ladder and climbed up to see if momma bird had laid any eggs yet. She hadn’t, so I removed the nest, thinking problem solved.
Well I will have you know that the very next day, I checked the porch again and the nest was back. In less than 24 hours, momma had built a brand new nest. And this time there were five eggs in it.
Whoa!

Okay, I wasn’t about to touch the new nest since it now contained eggs. So I decided to leave it alone and enjoy watching the baby birds when they came. But one thing I didn’t anticipate was how territorial birds are over their offspring.

One day after the babies were born, I decided to take a walk. So I donned my safari hat and stepped out onto my front porch. Big mistake. Suddenly a bird dive bombed me, swooping in low to fly under my porch roof. Not only momma bird, but there were several more right behind her.

It was my safari hat that saved the day. I took the massive brim and bent it over my face to avert catastrophe. My “safari” hat earned it’s moniker from my ex-husband, who never failed to remark “Are you going on Safari?” whenever I would put it on.

Suddenly I knew exactly how actress Tippi Hedren must have felt when she was attacked by the birds crossing Bodega Bay in the movie “The Birds”. Instead of well-coiffed hair, what Tippi needed was a wide brimmed safari hat.

Soon I discovered that the remedy to my problem was to just knock on my front door from the inside before stepping out. That way the birds would fly off long enough for me to flee the porch. One day I quipped to my mom: “You know, some people knock when they enter a home. Not me, I have to knock just to leave mine”.

Okay so a year went by. One day in April of 2021 I asked my property manager, Dave, if he would help me come up with a permanent solution to my bird nest problem. Well before he could even stop by, I noticed momma bird doing a couple of swoops through my front porch to check out the premises. So I had to act quickly. The only thing I could think to do was to take an old flashlight box and place it between the top of my cedar post and the porch roof.

April and May came and went and no bird nest, so I was feeling pretty pleased with my ingenuity. Then one day in June, I noticed all sorts of twigs and bird doo on my front porch again. I looked up and, lo and behold, momma bird had built a nest on top on my flashlight box. Whoa!

Not to be outdone by a bird, I sprang into action and grabbed an empty Dove soap box and wedged in the opening between the flashlight box and the roof. I even secured it with tape. Lots of tape. This time I wasn’t taking any chances knowing momma bird’s determination.

So at this point, I knew that the Lord wanted me to write about the birds. And I even knew why. You see he gave me a vision back in 2020 that explained it.
On 8/24/2020 I saw a vision of three hats hanging on pegs on a wall – one white, one black, and one purple. Then I saw someone reach for the purple hat that was hanging on a peg.

End of vision.

The next day I searched for the word “purple” in the scriptures. When I came across the story of Lydia, I knew that I had found something significant. You see, Lydia was a seller of purple, who became a Christian. It said that the Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. She even wanted Paul to stay at her house. Basically her house became a “gathering place” for not only Paul, but other Christians.

Scriptures

ACTS 16:14 Now a certain woman named Lydia heard us. She was a seller of PURPLE from the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God. The Lord opened her heart to heed the things spoken by Paul. 15And when she and her household were baptized, she begged us, saying, “If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, “Come to my house and stay.” so she persuaded us.

MICAH 2:12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as sheep in a fold, as the flock in the midst of their pasture: they shall make a loud noise because of the multitude of men.

MATTHEW 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone them which are sent unto you, how often would I have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not!

ACTS 16:40 So they went out of the prison and entered the house of Lydia; and when they had seen the brethren, they encouraged them and departed.

ACTS 12:12 So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying.

JOHN 6:12 So when they were filled, He said to His disciples, “Gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost.”

MATTHEW 13:47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea and gathered some of every kind, 48which, when it was full, they drew to shore; and they sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but threw the bad away. 49So it will be at the end of the age.

ACTS 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

MATTHEW 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man who sowed good seed in his field: 25But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26But when the plant was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? from where then has it tares? 28He said unto them, An enemy has done this. The servants said unto him, Will you then that we go and gather them up? 29But he said, Nay; lest while you gather up the tares, you root up also the wheat with them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather you together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

LUKE 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets, and stones them that are sent unto you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and you would not!
