OPEN VISION

An open vision is when you are fully awake, and the spirit realm breaks into your natural sight.

You are not dreaming.
You are not imagining.
You are seeing.

The room may still be there, but something spiritual overlays it—or even takes over your focus completely.

“Peter went up upon the housetop to effect pray… and saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him…”

These moments are intense, vivid, and impossible to ignore.

They are often connected to:

• Direction
• Assignment
• Divine interruption

This is God getting your attention.

THE OPEN VISION

This morning, while I was having breakfast, I had an open vision.

I saw a man wearing what appeared to be a Civil War hat. I was looking very closely at it, wondering what unit he was in, but I saw no indication of a particular unit.

I noticed that it had a square bill and a little rounded top that leaned to one side. The hat was blue, not gray.

I understood from the open vision that this man had picked his side—a reference to what I understood as a second American Civil War that may be close at hand.

As I looked closer at the man, however, I noticed something unexpected: he was not wearing a Civil War hat at all. He was wearing a baseball hat.
