welcome 2020 on our knees

2019 ended with violent eruptions; 2020 has arrived….what awaits those in America and around the world? Many ponder, prognosticate, proclaim, petition and pray, but God’ purpose will be established. He will accomplish His good pleasure.

Michael Boldea writes-- 'Yes, Jesus said that in this world we would have tribulation, but He never said we wouldn’t also have joy. Just because you have one thing, it does not mean you cannot also have the other. Hold precious times of joy. Hold precious times of merriment....understand that those moments are often fleeting, short bursts of memories that will keep you warm during the cold dark nights of hardship'.

Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming. “But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

God holds our past, our present and most assuredly our future in His hand. In Him alone is our security our shield our hope. ‘We are not here to have a good time. God gives us good times, but every one of them comes as a gift of His love and grace; they are never something we deserve. We are not here to try to enjoy ourselves, to amass as many comforts as we can, and retire to a happy life. We are here to fight a battle against the powers of darkness. We are here to be engaged in an unending combat with powerful forces that are seeking to control human history. We have been called into the battle; we must never forget that. That is why the Christian cannot plan his life, plan his retirement like a worldling can. We are living different lives. This is no picnic’. Ray Stedman/ Lessons from Job

Blurred visions, preconceived ideas, man made traditions cast shadows over our perception of what lies ahead. Powers of darkness have indeed been released over America; the world, consumed by apostasy and strife, struggles. Let us never forget that…even before there is a word on my (our) tongue, LORD You know it all.

This will be written for the generation to come, That a people yet to be created may praise the LORD. For He looked down from His holy height; from heaven the LORD gazed upon the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to set free those who were doomed to death; (death through heresy, sin, rebellion and ignorance of the things of God).

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker and welcome 2020 on our knees.
