URGENCY OF OPPORTUNITY!

Two mornings ago (April 10, 2025) I was awakened suddenly about 3:00 a.m. with a strong urge to write a letter to the editor of our local newspaper.

I live in a small city in “The Bible Belt” of the southern part of the United States. Our local paper is only printed three days a week now (though they also update their online edition throughout the week). I knew the next paper edition would be delivered on Saturday, and its contents would be decided by early Friday afternoon. So I soon went to my computer and typed out a letter that was meant to be a short summary of what had been on my heart for this area – indeed for everyone.

The words flowed. I will not say that the letter is exactly what The Lord would say – that it is NOT in the category of “God-breathed” Scripture or words given to true end-times prophets. But the topics and general flow were quickly provided/came to mind in a way I have experienced before and that I “knew” was (at least for the most part) what God wanted me to put out at this time.

This morning the newspaper is being delivered to at least a few thousand subscribers, and a few more folks will buy a copy at a store. I Praise The LORD(!) and pray that He will bless this so that those He chooses will see and take from it what He wants them to! Hosea 4:6 Isaiah 55:11

This morning I was moved to share this as “Urgency of Opportunity!” at 444prophecynews.com.

NOTE: Letters to the editor are requested to be limited to 600 words.

On Rapture/Catching Up and HOPE for Those Left Behind

Challenge to me: Capture in 600 words some of the most important eternal truths.

Challenge to you: Read them and ask the Lord if this IS Important Eternal TRUTH.

Mot have heard that Jesus could come back at any time, and that no man knows the day or hour of His return. It is also true (see challenges above) that Paul, in two letters to the Thessalonians, said he had given them what they needed to not be surprised at the time of Jesus’ coming. The Gospels give instructions to Jesus’ disciples such as to watch and pray; that He returns when times are as in the days of Noah; that there will be signs in the heavens; that some virgins will be wise (filled with the Spirit) and some foolish; that there will be birth pains first (including wars and earthquakes); that we are to continue to learn and do His will – and that involves taking up our cross daily and denying self, willing to lose this life to find the True Life for all eternity!

God promises to never leave or forsake those who know Him.

God never promises that all who say “Lord, Lord, have we not done great works in Your Name …” will be with Him forever in heaven.

How can that be? Jesus knows those who believe on Him, repent and receive Holy Spirit, and continue to learn from Him and apply what they learn. Ephesians 2 instructs to do the works HE wants us to do – not what we come up with to try to impress Him – or others! (There is no doubt that God rewards according to our works. Once saved, good works done in Him are rewarded. Our own works of the flesh are the wood, hay or stubble – burned up.)

Even David, while crying out to the Lord in repentance for his grievous sin, asked God NOT to take His Holy Spirit from him! Hebrews 6 and 10 are also instructive. There is a book of life in heaven in which our names must be found for residence in that glorious place!

God is Love. He is also Justice. And He Will fulfill His Word. And He WILL NOT force anyone to choose to obey Him! That is because free will has been given to each of His seed – each son and daughter of Adam. He has willed NOT to compromise on the free will He has given us. That is why He warns and pleads with mankind to turn our hearts and minds fully to Him! And that is why HE GRIEVES over each one of us who chooses not to accept Jesus as personal Savior!

Jesus is coming VERY soon for His Bride. Concerning those currently alive and caught up to be with Him; think: Wise Virgins. There will be many who were born again but will be left behind by Him, think; Foolish Virgins.

Heaven is a place where sin does not reside. In His abounding Love, the Bridegroom takes His Bride from this earth BEFORE the seven years of Jacob’s Trouble, which is the 70th week of Daniel’s seventy-weeks prophecy, which is the Tribulation of Revelation.

The Bride (the Wise Virgins of Matthew 25) has chosen to allow her Groom to make her spotless and without wrinkle. The ones “left behind” are Foolish Virgins who have not taken seriously the need to be CLEANED UP by the Lord. AND there is GREAT HOPE for them. But they DO need to wholeheartedly seek the Lord during VERY DIFFICULT times of tribulation! As William Brooks was instructed, they will need to be faithful to the end, and for many that will include martyrdom. (See eyesupandopen.org.
