Too many mistakes are made over a lifetime. Too many choices that were wrong choices. These are not events that can be changed, but they can be repented of. God gives us every opportunity to change our destination through saying we are sorry and then doing an about face, through our actions and behavior.
(Romans 3:23-24 NKJV 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus)
Sin is a stumbling block that traps many along their journey. It is a snare the enemy temps and taunts one with. The enemy is relentless and shows up over and over, till they break you down.
God, on the other hand, has created us to know when we have done wrong (or about to do wrong).
(Romans 2:15 15 who show the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and between themselves their thoughts accusing or else excusing them).
This innate character is woven into us, to detect right from wrong. We have the ability to stop, but do we? Our flesh wants to override our spirit, and many wrong decisions are made due to this.
Time is winding down to the end-events. If you are to survive what is coming (and where you will end up), one needs to be well rooted in Jesus. Spend as much time in a relationship with your creator. Leave all sins in the rear-view mirror. Read his Word, for God is his Word. Remember that the only path to God is through his son, Jesus. Be ready as the birth pains become more intense and harder to ignore.
What is considered to be sin?
Romans 1:26-32 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
The Ten Commandments are as famous as they are powerful:
1. I am the LORD your God; you shall not have strange gods before me.
2. You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the LORD’s Day.
4. Honor your father and mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods
